Poor management and rude with family with kids

We visited the Renaissance Palm Springs over Thanksgiving and unfortunately had a disappointing experience, especially as a family traveling with children. First, the pool and jacuzzi rules were handled very poorly. Our kids were using the general pool, and when they started feeling cold, they stepped into the jacuzzi for a moment. The staff immediately asked them to leave, saying it was “adults only,” even though the signage wasn’t clear at first. The way it was communicated felt unwelcoming and insensitive toward families. Second, breakfast turned into a daily issue. We booked our stay online, and our reservation clearly stated that breakfast was included for kids under 14. However, every morning the staff questioned us and tried to charge us, claiming breakfast was only free for kids under 4. This created unnecessary stress and confusion, and we had to explain the situation repeatedly. Overall, the hotel did not feel family-friendly, and instead of enjoying a relaxing trip, we felt like we were constantly defending what we had already booked and paid for. The experience left us disappointed, especially during a holiday trip meant to be special. Hoping the management improves communication and hospitality toward families in the future.
