Poor management and rude with family with kids

We visited the Renaissance Palm Springs over Thanksgiving and unfortunately had a disappointing experience, especially as a family traveling with children. First, the pool and jacuzzi rules were handled very poorly. Our kids were using the general pool, and when they started feeling cold, they stepped into the jacuzzi for a moment. The staff immediately asked them to leave, saying it was “adults only,” even though the signage wasn’t clear at first. The way it was communicated felt unwelcoming and insensitive toward families. Second, breakfast turned into a daily issue. We booked our stay online, and our reservation clearly stated that breakfast was included for kids under 14. However, every morning the staff questioned us and tried to charge us, claiming breakfast was only free for kids under 4. This created unnecessary stress and confusion, and we had to explain the situation repeatedly. Overall, the hotel did not feel family-friendly, and instead of enjoying a relaxing trip, we felt like we were constantly defending what we had already booked and paid for. The experience left us disappointed, especially during a holiday trip meant to be special. Hoping the management improves communication and hospitality toward families in the future.

Perfect stay

The hotel is very attractive. Check in was smooth. The room was spacious, with a nice view of the pool, a couch, and a very comfy bed. Would definitely recommend.

Really needs updating and repairs

I think this resort was probably really nice 20 years ago. But as of now, the elevator creaks ominously, the room furniture is chipped or missing pieces, the pool deck is dangerously degraded. For the pool deck especially the cement is so worn it is crumbling and you can see the seams and mesh pulling up and gapping. Cannot walk barefoot. Room walls had stains, beds were sagging. Just overall, it’s really time for a renovation. On the upside, staff were lovely and hotel is very conveniently located. On site restaurants were good and had lots of options for kids. Lobby looked nice and was better condition than guest rooms. Landscaping was well taken care of

Absolutely Amazing

My husband and I stayed at the Renaissance Palm Springs for our 10 Year Wedding Anniversary and loved every second of our stay. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by smiling faces letting us know they've been expecting us. Fern at the Front Desk was so accommodating. Gordey the Concierge was fantastic as well and even arranged a beautiful amenity for us. Every staff member we encountered was wonderful from the morning team in the restaurant to even a housekeeping associate who asked us how our breakfast as we were exiting the restaurant. The room itself was a beautiful suite with a breathtaking view of the pool and the mountains. It was very spacious and had a gorgeous balcony that was perfect for morning coffee. We felt like celebrities thanks to the staff and can't wait to return.
