Very friendly and helpful staff but the resort is in terrible shape. Many rooms flooded every time it rained. There were roof leaks in the main buffet, theater, ballroom, and guest rooms with black mold on the ceiling. The beach area was filthy with trash and sea weed. It was never groomed. They NEVER refund any money once you’ve paid. The owners just collect the money and do no upkeep. This was our second stay there and it has really deteriorated. We weren’t expecting high end luxury but this was really bad

We've stayed at this resort a few times through the years. Servers are friendly and aim to please. Grounds are beautiful and well cared for. However, reception area is showing its age and at times, it just needs cleaning. I understand they're focusing on profits by tying restaurant reservations to VIP packages, and if your policy is to limit guests to buffet meals unless they buy a VIP package it should be clearly stated - claiming that all reservations are booked by 9am is hard to believe. Food quality and selection needs to improve. Daily selection of breads and cheese was minimal, bacon nowhere to be found and mimosas left me wondering what was used in making them. Hopefully they can make needed improvements.

This resort is gorgeous!!! It is very clean and the rooms are beautiful. The staff was sooooo friendly and the food was so good!!! The pool is beautiful and huge. It is a bigger resort but I really liked it. It's about a 30 minute drive from the airport.

We came here for the brazilian restaurant, it was imposible the first day but we had kirsia who helped us get in on our last night AND Danny was very polite at the rodizio we Also had Joel taking care of us during the dinner making sure we felt confortable with all the beef cuts we we were served AND welandy last but not least was the guy that served the dessert was Also very polite we cannot complaint about our viist to this hotel for the price paid Is good enough the service and the quality of the fotos served. We thank this people from the brazilian place they Made our night

As I sit here in the vip lounge I have decided to do my first review after 12 trips (10 to cuba, 2 to dominican). The good: Food and buffet staff I cant say enough about. Both were phenomenal. Pools were clean The bad: Lack of entertainment. We seen aqua gym twice in the week we've been here. Shows were basically all the same except different costumes. VIP LOUNGE : definitely not worth it. 3 tables and a small island. The bar tender is almost always MIA (currently not in here). Snacks and wifi are good in here though (that's why I'm sitting here writing this review). ROOM SERVICE: Included with VIP. Again not worth it. First day we called, we were told it was closed. Second time, again said it was closed but then took it back and we were able to get room service. And it takes forever foe someone to answer the phone. AL A CARTE: Told to go around 6 for opening at 630. Once you're there, you're either told its reserved (even though it states no reservations) or to come back at a later time. Once you return, you'll almost certainly be told it's closed for the night. GYM: Don't even water your time. I set an alarm the first morning and was highly disappointed. One treadmill (which was broken), a few bikes (no display screens so couldn't keep track of anything) 3 ellipticals (2 were broken as well). A few weights that I didn't even look at cause who wants to lift without warming up first. Overall: It was a nice resortt, with good food. If would have to be one heck of a good deal for me to return because there was more bad then good.
