Would highly recommend this resort for. Couples who want a quieter experience. We were amazed on how clean this resort is.. the staff do an incredible job there, everything is spotless. The food selection was great and exceeded our expectations . The beach is ok.. certainly not like the beaches in Cuba. The only complaint would be the quality and comfort of the bed, can't speak for the entire resort but we were in a VIP room and the bed was very hard and we did not sleep great. If the beds were upgraded it would be easy to rate this a quality budget friendly 5 star. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

My vacation at the Marien was a wonderful 10 days. Especially the guys at the activities center. BomBom ,Junior, and Manny. Looking forward to our next visit.

The hotel was okay overall, but there were a few very disappointing issues during my stay. The biggest problem was the Wi-Fi. Despite the hotel information suggesting Wi-Fi was available throughout the complex, there was no Wi-Fi in my room at all. I later learned that this was not just my room, but many rooms. Wi-Fi only worked in public areas, which was very frustrating and inconvenient. Another major issue was the shower. The shower head was clearly faulty: only a small amount of water came out properly, while most of the water was spraying off to the side. It made showering very uncomfortable. I went to reception three separate times to ask for it to be repaired. Each time, I was politely told that a technician would come, but no one ever came and nothing was fixed. The room itself was acceptable, but the bathroom and toilet area felt old and worn and definitely need renovation. To be fair, not everything was bad, and the stay was okay in some respects. But the lack of Wi-Fi in the room, the broken shower, and the fact that repeated maintenance requests were ignored made the experience much more disappointing than it should have been.
