I recommend!

jucpadilha (Palhoca, SC) on May 12, 2024

Beautiful property, isolated from other resorts. The staff are extremely friendly, and I’d like to give a big shout out to Wisandra, Iamdra, and Shelly who were incredible welcoming and helpful. Miss you girls! The activities and the shows were fantastic! The two things I was a little disappointed was with the cleaning service, the smell of mold and smoke in the room, and I the variety of fruit available. Most of the days there were always the same 4 types of fruit: pineapple, papaya, melon, and watermelon. Only in the last two days we had mango in the breakfast (and it was delicious) and banana.

Best holidays at Viva V !

kmikeall (Paris, France) on May 11, 2024

We had an amazing time in Viva V by Samana thanks to Justine, Alex and Javier to whom I am beyond grateful for making my holidays the best! The resort was stunning, so was the pool and the entire service. All activities and animations were also very much appreciated and so fun to watch and take part in! The dance show were absolutely phenomenal, with special emphasis on Alex and Amelia’s performances. I will definitely come back and tell my friends to come as well to Viva V! Many thanks again and see you soon. Kind regards, K. ALLALI Room 1217 - 1-10 May 2024

Viva V Samana

I travelled here with a friend of mine. He was working while I was taking a break from life. He is in his late 20s and I am in my early thirties. This resort is very small which means everything is walkable aka if you want to go back to your room from the beach to go to the bathroom it’s easy. The resort was maybe 1/3 full at the time we came which was the off season. This means that some of the late night dj events and things like the foam party were cancelled without any notice. The wifi was strong enough when we were there to work and take calls/facetimes with family. This may not be the case with more people. This resort caters to a bit of an older audience (40s and above) which was noticeable by the interaction from the staff with different groups and who was pulled into interactive activities. Food and drinks were easy to get at anytime because there wasn’t that many people there. The beach is quiet and the resort is clean and well staffed For food: Buffet was pretty standard and changed for dinner and lunch - but is located in an open air area A la carte/bookable restaurants were good. We were able to go 6 nights out of the seven we were there due to having separate rooms and low capacity at the resort. Mediterranean is open air and located outside, Fugeo is small and dark but indoors located on the beach attached to the snack bar, and Fusion is located in the lobby by the buffet and is also inside. The best meal was at fusion but the indoors had a funny smell which I think is unavoidable for anywhere indoors due to the humidity Snack bar on the beach had good burgers hotdog fries and pizza throughout the afternoon which the buffet didn’t offer Room service took an hour the time I ordered it but was fresh cooked and great Fruit was always on point throughout the week Tips/tricks/advice The beach does have sand flees, bring big spray There are resort cats and beach dogs but if you don’t bug them they will mind their own business or be scared off by staff The area gets periods of intense rain due to being on the water but off the mountains, this passes quickly and is followed by intense humidity and sun. Rooms come with umbrellas and the staff is great about mopping up the water to avoid slips so nothing to worry about (ignore the rainy weather forecasts!) Download the viva v app to see all the menus and easily book reservations while you are there No speakers on the beach, bring earbuds if you want to listen to music. There isn’t any playing and you will get noise from various activities going on throughout the day Humidity is constant in this region so rooms feel somewhat damp so AC needs to be on always (one night mine stopped working and I was struggling with the heat) this also can bring somewhat funny smells but it’s expected here Water pressure is lacking There are no face clothes bar soap or tissues in the room so bring you own Water is wavy but resort provides all kinds of water sports equipment for free to take out in the water - I enjoyed just playing in the waves Overall a good relaxing break that I needed. Everything was accessible. I didn’t do any excursions but there are lots. I did utalize the spa for a massage which was nice. If you’re looking for somewhere small and quiet this is a good place to go We used the airtransat package for transfers and the solo V rooms. For the price it was a great trip. Would recco to an older crowd

beautiful beach but hotel overall is old and need some updates.

carlyindc (Herndon, Virginia) on May 08, 2024

Samana is a good place to visit- the hotel overall is a little bit outdated, tv is old, internet connection is slow, AC is just working but not dehumidifying. If you want to go to the a la carte restaurant, be sure to make a reservation with the front desk. food overall was okay. If you don't want the membership pitch, please avoid anyone approach to you regarding promotion or next reservation- it will be a 60 mins pitch. The beach is beautiful.
