Don’t waste your time or money here

5 hours ago On arrival the property looks great but once you’ve checked in the experience decreases dramatically. They have time share sales people ready to pounce on you and hard sell you, no thank you. If you don’t speak Spanish the staff is very rude and dismissive to you. The food is not even on cafeteria level (except for the omelette lady in the buffet, 5 stars!) pool snacks are cold and rubbery. The Italian restaurant is good but the times are insane for the little food you get. The Mexican restaurant is about on par for the buffet. The pools are dirty and cold. If you have a VIP band you get access to the 12th floor bar and pool, which is a step up. The bars are inconsistent with their pours. All in all I’d go somewhere else for your PVR trip, this place is not worth it.
Not so great.

? Club Royal Puerto Vallarta – Honest Review ? Unfortunately… this stay was a miss. Food: • Breakfast/Lunch Buffet: Breakfast has a fresh omelet station, which was the highlight. Lunch? …no comment. • Dinner: You choose between Mexican or Italian. • The Mexican dinner was honestly disgusting. • The Italian was actually great! • Portion Sizes: Shockingly tiny. Not enough for a small child, let alone a hungry adult. Staff & Service: Your experience depends heavily on your bracelet color—aka your VIP status. If you’re not rocking the black VIP band, prepare to be treated like an afterthought. High-Pressure Sales (“Vultures”): The time-share/vacation-club team WILL harass you daily. Every day. Every angle. It’s exhausting. Resort Experience: • The property looks beautiful, but the pools are absolutely freezing. • Expect kids running and screaming everywhere. • Our room smelled musty, and not in a “tropical ocean breeze” way. Bottom Line: While the view is stunning, everything else fell flat. ? I will never come back. ? I will never recommend this resort See pics of bed sheets.
Terrible Experience, The Worst Mexico Experience.

Unbelievable, I paid $668 usd for my husband, me, and our 14 year old daughter to stay for acouple days, we arrived on a rainy Sunday around 5pm. The front desk service was terrible and didn't allowed us to stay because we didn't carried my daughters birth certificate. I had a state and school ID, which they didn't accept as a form of id. I tried to request a copy of the birth certicate but didn't have cell wifi and the staff didn't provide a wifi code to connect to the internet, we had a real hard time trying to get a hold of someone in the USA to send it to us. I had paid for my daughter stay as an adult anyways. After almost an hour at the front desk they reject us and asked us to leave because we couldn't stay there because of the ID ISSUE. We left and drove all the way back to the Mariona and stayed at the Westin Instead for less than $500. The worse thing is that I never received the credit for my $668, they couldn't cancel my reservation and according to them I didn't follow the rules by not providing a birth certificate. At the end they denied the service, we lost acouple hours trying to find a different location, but they kept our money. Please make sure to have your birth certicates for minor children. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
Lovely week by the ocean

We really enjoyed the staff who are hardworking and joyful. We had great service and good food with lots of healthy options on the salad bars. The staff at El Pescador were very personable especially Anayeli and Ivette. The pool staff were attentive. America helped keep our room spotless and sand free floors. The waiters and hostesses at the back restaurant at the end of the pool were attentive. We appreciated how hard the staff works! The coping on the edge of the pool is a hazard. Scraped my legs. It should be smoother. It’s easy to get to PV by bus for $10p The evenings were noisy until 11pm with weddings. The poolside activities aerobics leader was a hoot! So fun and energetic.
Awesome beach!

My girls and I stayed here a week ago. Like most there was good and ok. WOW! The beach is understated at this hotel, it was the nicest beach I’ve been to in P.V. We spent most of our time there as the hotel doesn’t get sun until after 1 pm at the pool so the beach is where it’s at. We enjoyed the sea view from our room and loved the family suite set up with separate beds for each of us. Night entertainment was good. Karaoke kinda boring with only Spanish sappy songs so we left. Service was good throughout the resort with drink service, food and smiles. We also liked the pool snack bar. It was popular so good and was fresh. Now for ok…as mentioned above it’s kinda strange how the resort is set up that the sun doesn’t appear until 1 so can make it chillly in the unheated pools. Food in the buffet could be improved as most did not look appetizing drowned in sauces or just not edible. The Mexican station was outside and much preferred that. Saying that we always found something to eat. The fresh cooked eggs/ommelet was great and my daughter liked the little buns. We only tried one ala carte, the Italian and the freshly made tiramascu was delicious. In all, we had a great time and the beach alone would make me come back!
