Zel Punta Cana has beautiful rooms, and we genuinely enjoyed the fitness classes — the instructor and programming were excellent. Staff are friendly, but often inattentive. The most serious concern was a safety issue in a public washroom, where I was trapped in a stall for about 10 minutes due to a broken door. Multiple guests experienced the same issue that evening, yet the stall was not marked or closed. Service at the à la carte restaurants was consistently slow and lacking follow-up. No one returned to check on our table, and on multiple occasions I had to pour my own water and coffee. Meals often lasted over two hours, items were forgotten, and dessert was not offered. Basic in-room requests (soda water and face cloths) were not fulfilled despite repeated follow-ups, and we received conflicting information from staff about what was included in our stay (Turkish spa access, cycling, activities, reservations, and access to other resorts). Beach chairs were unavailable, and cocktail quality varied by location. We raised these concerns with management during our stay but received no response. While the resort has potential, poor coordination and inconsistent service significantly affected our experience.

We had a great time with good services and they were so polite and very nice on every thing Beautiful place with acellent rooms and it was very clean , gorgeous resort.

Unfortunately the service is poor, we have been before and the luxury and staff have changed a lot. We wish they remain.

ask for mr fish for the aquagym. there may be many fish in the sea, but there’s only one mr fish and he’s at zel punta cana! we love him and you will too!

They are trying...rooms are large and comfortable. Staff friendly but with few exceptions, incompetent. Reservations at activities and restaurants rarely honored. Communication very poor. Only a year old and already looking tired in places. Food inedible and drinks terrible unless you specify a brand or order separately and pay extra (wine list).
