NOT A SAFE RESORT. SECURITY IS NOT TRAINED IN DE-ESCALATION. BARTENDERS OVER SERVE GETTING PEOPLE BILLIGERENT

We booked this hotel because of its beautiful location AND that it has an adult only section. My wife and I only attend resorts with adult sections. Today staff caused a situation which made us extremely uncomfortable and almost fist fight another couple. I went to the adult section. I noticed there was a few kids. One was snorkleing in the jacuzzi section. Then kept going around us splashing with flippers. There are 3 points of entrance to this pool, every entrance has ADULT ONLY. NO KIDS. Asked Security if it was an adult only section for the entire pool or just section. They said yes it's an adult only pool that encompasses the entire area. I asked if it's only certain times of the day as the adult section is to relax and mingle, not be splashed and screamed around. The security then went around to everyone with children telling them to abide by the rules and use one of the other 5 pools or ocean. For some reason, security decided to specifically point out us to a couple. The lady then began flipping us off and shouting. Why would you do that? That's how you escalate. Security walked away WHILE THE LADY IS YELLING. We stayed at the bar got our drinks and went to go into the water to get away from them. The woman walks up to my wife and spit on her foot. An argument insued. She said her reason for having her kids there was she can. And that we're the problem. Ok. That we're fat and ugly im 180 at 6feet wtf is that for. Staff did not intervene. As two bartenders and a lifeguard stood there. Her testosterone filled gynocomastia tummy tuck husband got within inches of my wife and was about to roid rage because we told her to follow the rules and this wouldn't happen. we're walking away she's cussing screaming about we better walk away and other... disgusting comments. Felt uncomfortable rest of trip. Will not be returning. We reported this incident to head office as it was quite intense. Our recourse? Nothing. As nothing was done for us by any of the staff present or after, il be initiating a refund for the day my wife and I lost. As we did not feel comfortable roaming with an aggressively drunk man picking fights. The resort has angry drunks wandering around attempting to fight people. It was not the first time I had seen people arguing on the resort clearly drunk while security did not intervene and I've been here 5 days. Mexico is a scary enough country to visit due to its difficult economic situation and your security is absolutely gobsmacked useless. I have never had a resort straight up, not follow their own rules, and then when reminded of those rules, tell the people it's YOUR fault. If you cannot adhere to your contracts posted all around for signage, neither will I and I will get my refund whether or not I need to get my bank to drag it out of your coffers. I am appaled at the lack of critical thinking and de-escalation tactics. We will not be returning. We will ensure everyone of our vacationing friends, family, who have asked us every time if they should go and if we should do a group trip, to not bother we will go elsewhere to get a safer experience.

Very cute resort. Great place for family vacation where you can see lots of wild life (monkeys, Capybaras, deers) and many more. Pools with ocean water (no chemicals). Good service and excellent hospitality.
