Fantastic Entertainment and Incredible Staff at El Dorado!
421nashc (London, United Kingdom) on Sep 09, 2024
We had an unforgettable stay at El Dorado, and a huge part of that was thanks to the incredible entertainment team and staff! Jose, Angel, Alexandro, Luis, Maria, and the entire team went above and beyond to make our experience special. From fun activities during the day to lively entertainment in the evenings, they kept the energy high and made sure everyone was having a great time. The staff throughout the resort were equally amazing—always friendly, attentive, and ready to assist with a smile. Their hospitality truly made us feel welcome and well taken care of. If you’re looking for a resort that offers both relaxation and fun, with an amazing team of people who genuinely care about your experience, El Dorado is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back!

We travel to this hotel first time. Some points for future travelers. 1. Beach is NOT DEEP. You cannot swim in the ocean properly. It is rocky and there are weeds. If you are looking for ocean swimming - DO NOT come here, or any other El Dorado family hotels. We tried to swim in Seaside Palms, Seaside Suites, Maroma,... Same story. However beach itself is great. Sandy, clean. And most important - Bally beds are free. 2. Hotel needs some improvements. It is not new. Cottages does not have elevators, so you need to take stairs to second floor. Usually not a problem if you do not have issues with that. Rooms in building are renovated, so they are in better conditions. I would highly recommend here to pay for swim out room. 3. Food is good and tasty. Buffet does not offer huge variety, however it is still large variety, fresh and tasty. Mi Casa and Cullinarium restaurants were absolutely great, very tasty and highly recommended. Driftwood restaurant was also very tasty and fresh. Salmon here was one of the best I ever ate. Would not recommend North American restaurant. Was not that good... 4. If you are looking for quite place - I would suggest you select Seaside Palm. Being there, you can use all facilities and service at Seaside Palm and Seaside Suites as well. Seaside Suits were more noise and more actions. 5. Hotel also offers 4 excursions for free: - Trip to El Dorado Maroma beach resort with Catamaran sailing and snorkeling. This is 7-8 hours trip to sister hotel with food and drinks. Nice trip. Recommended. If you need to go back to your hotel early, it is possible. You only need to take towels. - Trip to Aqua Nick water park. 7 hours trip - absolutely worth it. 12 slides, wave pool, climbing wall, large selection of food and drinks, towels. Just bring bathing suits. They also have kids zone in this park. No access to Nickelodeon hotel and beach. - Trip to horse ranch. We did not go, so no comments. - Shopping tour: includes expensive jewelry factory, tequila factory and Playa del Carmen city tour.
