Great weekend getaway from San Diego for wife's birthday. Even with the surf festival going on, we had so much fun around the resort and the pool. Never felt crowded or excessively loud. The glass doors are remarkably sound resistant (not proof lol) but even with the loud music outside we enjoyed plenty of peace and quiet when needed. This was my second stay here, and will definitely be back and recommend to friends and family. The Rooftop Bar also has great food and cocktails, with the best view in town. The pool is beautiful, and was an oasis on Sunday when most others checked out and had it mostly to ourselves.

This was a last minute trip I booked for my husband’s birthday weekend. He wanted to do surfing lessons and this was one of the activities offered by the hotel so we booked it. We loved Mission Pacific decor and vibe, the room size and the amenities. They really had everything we needed and went above and beyond with extras like an ocean view room, birthday note and a box of chocolates to help make the weekend special. There was a surfing competition happening in front of the hotel and there was a lot of partying around the area at night…but we slept well because the hotel also provided ear plugs.
