Perfect…until the weekend

AZwanderlust (Gilbert, Arizona) on Jul 20, 2024

Beautiful property. Clean, upscale. Staff very friendly and efficient. Close proximity to everything. You can easily park your car ($47/day) and never need it during your stay. Room luxurious. Good bed, toiletries. A bit of form over function (i.e. one nightstand has no drawers or shelves - but looks nice) Nice touch having filtered water tap by the ice machine to fill water bottles. Bad water pressure in sink. Wonderful shower and toiletries. Amex plan gives you $80 for breakfast at restaurant in hotel next door. $85 bought 2 orange juice, one avocado toast and a crab cake Benedict. Pricey but good. The one thing that lost one star is beyond the hotel’s control. There is a public amphitheater about 150 yards away, across the street. Friday night there was a religious revival that blasted for 4 hours. Then, at 7am we were awakened by incessant drumbeats and rap music as an exercise boot-camp took over. 6 hours later and it is still blasting. It completely negates the usefulness (and price) of booking an oceanfront room. We still like the property, but will never come back on a weekend. You’ve been warned.

Want to go back!

Valet staff was so friendly and helpful. We LOVED being able to check out chairs and boogie boards right down on the sand. The lobby decor was beautiful. The location was right near the pier and the beach and restaurants so we had everything we needed. We ran out of time and didn't get to check out the sister resort but appreciate that is provides another pool and other amenities.

Clean rooms, happy staff, excellent restaurant. The roof top pool bar is amazing! The brunch place had an amazing jalapeño BLT!

Wonderful experience. Stand out Hyatt Property.

Wonderful stay at the Mission Pacific hotel with the family which includes 3 small children. I love the clean decor of this hotel better than the Seabird. Seabird is a more of a California Coastal vibe. You can use both facilities and the proximity doesn't make it too burdensome. Room was amazing (in a dreamscape suite) with amazing ocean views. Could not really hear the train noise since it was towards the back of the hotel. I can imagine the noise being very annoying if you had a room facing the rear. Beach and pier were right across the street. Beach doesn't have the best sand and is a bit rocky. Lots of restaurants in the area. Parking at the hotel was a bit exorbitant at $47 a night. But valet was relatively quick. Overall, I would bring my family again to the resort.

They have the location right but there are a lot of misses

For the price you would expect a near perfect experience. It was dirty in the outdoor halls. We had to call up for houskeeping, water, towels, and even check in was a harsh experience. We set up breakfast at the Piper next door on first arrival and they only set it up for 2 when I verified 4 multiple times. That threw them into a panic as we had to wait 30 minutes past our reservation time and then go ask again when we could be seated. The breakfast was average for $50 and we could have wisely spent the $250 (on breakfast mind you) at local places. I was disappointed but they have a great location so they just shrug and show apathy.
