pleasant stay

we chose this place to redeem our category 1-7 award from Hyatt and also good recommendations from our friends on online blogs. Check in was awesome; we arrived a little too early but they were still able to give us a room before noon time. We got upgraded to a pool view and we were also given a rollaway bed for free. Rooms are nice though I wish they were more spacious but still very nice rooms. Housekeeping took a little while for extra towels but its understandable as I think there was a wedding ongoing so hotel was super busy. We had breakfast the next day around 1030ish and it was packed; took more than 5 minutes to be seated and another 5 minutes to have a server but regardless; the buffet options were great and our bellies was filled to the brim. We went swimming after and this is probably the only con for our entire stay; perhaps because its summer or the hotel was just packed with families and kids but if you ever go under the pool I can certainly bet that you would think twice to step in; there were hairs; boogers, spit and all kinds of nasty things underneath that water and it seems the pool hasn't been cleaned for days or weeks perhaps. If I could only take a picture; I'm pretty sure you'll be disgusted as well; it cut our pool time short and we spent a bit more time in the jacuzzi but we're definitely going to twice in the future in going into the pool. Other than this downside; kids were pretty bummed we were still able to get a late check out so we just took a short afternoon nap & went on our way home. Granted it was a free stay; the pool issue is one con we may have to consider if we ever plan in coming back here; but overall it was a nice hotel; have a nice ambience and the beachside location is definitely a plus. Thank you!
Resort hotel for kids, not couples

If you are not traveling with small children, please skip this hotel. The pool is small and overcrowded with children. Not ideal for couples. Also, the hotel’s restaurant called Piper, is a pass. Don’t forget the $50 daily resort fee and $50 daily valet parking fee.
