Beautiful hotel

I would have given the hotel 5 stars but my welcome was very unwelcoming: Chanel is rude on reception. Told me the charge to hold for incidentals was £620. When I questioned why it was so high her response was obnoxious and arrogant: “ this is Oceanside and this is the rule for our hotel and how we do it here.” She stormed off to get the manager Liz who told me the charge should be £420 but would speak to Chanel. So a clear error by the reception but made me a client feel small for raising the query. If you’re going to charge such a large charge at least explain it properly and make sure it’s right ! Had a lot of private events which meant they could not serve any frozen drinks by the pool. Not what you expect from a hotel of this calibre. Hotel guests should not come second to money from outside events. Also when you order a burger with fries it’s not fried but crisps it comes with. What ? What restaurant serves a burger with crisps ?! Apart from that the room was lovely. I had partial ocean view. Large and comfy bed. The other staff were friendly. The gym was a good size and clean. I went out to eat as so much choice. Spa looked nice but crazy expensive for treatments and price list made no sense ( facial and massage all same price ). Great location.

Great location & great customer service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with the beautiful view from our balcony. The bath robe is so fitting and soft. Keep us comfy and warm. The Shore Room is the best place to watch the sunset and enjoy some drinks & burgers.
