Gorgeous hotel and Incredible staff
Felice K (Del Mar, California) on May 09, 2025
Firstly, my mom can be hard to please when it comes to hotels. Actually, so can I if I'm honest but we would both give 10 stars to the Seabird if we could! I took her here when on her visit from New Zealand and we had the best time here. What fantastic art work! We recognized Don Takiama, a family friend - on the wall a local legendary long board shaper. The decor and the art gallery supporting local history gave us such a special adventure. The team here is fantastic too! Doris was a godsend when we had an unexpected flat a battery situation come up and helped connect us to a quick solution with grace and a smiling face. Brandon Found a charger for us at the front desk. This is one of the most beautiful and inspiring hotels I've ever been too. I have visited to the Beverly Wilshire, The Ritz Carlton and Waldorf Astoria many times - the magic of the Seabird rivals if not slighty surpasses these for me. This property is simply a must-see. We are looking forward to coming back with more family this summer!
Beware dredging time

Seems like a nice hotel but the beach was gross due to dredging and the entire hotel smelled due to that so all in all not a great experience. I'm sure it would be fine under normal conditions. Paying for a suite with a balcony and being unable to use it due to the smell definitely didn't meet expectations..
