Spent 10 days here celebrating a 40th anniversary as well as 30th birthday. All the staff are amazing, nothing is too much bother for them, special shout out to Vanesca and Azura who made every meal time special. Had two meals in the al la carte restaurant (hummingbird) to celebrate these milestones and the food was nothing short of incredible. The menu changed every night and it both menus did not disappoint. Had decorations and an iced bottle at the table for the anniversary and had a cake and a sing song from the staff for the birthday. Little touches made the holiday. Shout out to Sam in the Hummhingbird for keeping our drinks topped up. They took allergies very seriously, had to fill out a form on arrival and made note of our room number and requirements when we went to the restaurant. Was throughly impressed. We went in May and were unfortunate to have the rainy week. Be careful on the steps as these became horribly slippery after a rainfall. The only issue we had during our stay was there was an issue with the towels, reception held the towels till 10am when the bar opened and then you were to retrieve towels from the bar. Nearly every day we went to reception to be told to go to the bar and vice versa to be told there are no towels for the day. Tennis match between the desks to get a towel. This affected the towels in our room where we had to call up to request towels that had not been replaced during the cleaning service. Even used the spa as a family and had to use a bedsheet to dry off after a body scrub. There was a definite problem. Apart from this, amazing hotel. Guests are as friendly as the staff. Steel drums on Thursdays Caribbean night is well worth a watch.

Just returned from 11 nights at this amazing hotel, I have visited many all inclusive hotels and this is one of the best! Every meal was delicious and varied, make sure you visit the Hummingbird restaurant too (included in AI). Every single member of staff was fantastic, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The staff are an absolute credit to this hotel. We had a garden bungalow room which is towards the back of the hotel. No complaints at all, it had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept extremely well. Although you do not have direct access to the beach, the hotel does run a shuttle bus (5 min journey) I would highly recommend visiting the beach area, the hotel has sun beds and a staff member who will watch your stuff for you whilst you take a walk or swim. You can buy drinks from a vendor but we visited the local supermarket and took our own. We hired a car for 3 days so we could explore the island at our own pace rather than being on a time limit with an organised trip, again would highly recommend. The roads look a little scary but they are not that bad. We visited pigeon island and walked up to Fort Rodney and Signal Peak. Hotel Chocolat plantation and did the organised tour which included a fabulous lunch, the sulphur springs, Tet Paul nature walk, spent an afternoon on Sugar beach and a couple of waterfalls. All in the 3 days that we hired the car. If you are thinking of visiting St Lucia, this hotel will not disappoint!

Best service from staff, they make you feel welcome, the rooms are very clean, linen smells good, the food is the best and a wide variety from local to international dishes. Imagine you booked out 12pm and waiting fir your transport and the front desk attendant says to you "I know you already booked out but if you want to get a bite before your pickup go right ahead " ..thus hotel us out of this world.!!

Just left the gorgeous Bel Jou hotel where we had the most amazing time. From Dana and the front desk team, Jalfree and his yoga/pilates/history lessons and general life philosophies, all the kitchen and waiting staff, grounds staff and not to forget Mikey- everyone we met did everything they could to ensure we had the best possible time. Literally couldn’t fault the hotel (okay the treadmills weren’t working but who wants to use those on holiday). Thank you so much Bel Jou!!
A holiday to remember!

We visited Bel Jou with high expectations and we were not disappointed. The hotel is in a great location close enough to the beach and Castries town. Being on a steep hill the views from the hotel are breathtaking both during the day and at night. We stayed in a garden bungalow room although it needs a bit of updating was spacious and clean with a queen sized bed. The staff were fantastic welcoming and warm and tended to our every request, always friendly and polite. Jahfree the aquarobics instructor delivered the aquarobics class every morning making it fun even when rain interrupted it. He also turned into the hotel DJ at night! The entertainment at night was good fun and staff members like Princess joined in the dancing with guests. Sam the manager of the Hummingbird Restaurant was fabulous and showed us how a professional restaurant should be run. Azard, Mikey, Machran, Kimani,Kasha and Karisa all helped to make this a dream holiday. Earl the excursions rep is definitely one of the first people to meet when you arrive. The food was fabulous and so were the cocktails! The best holiday I’ve had so far and can’t wait to back but not during the rainy season!
