We booked beaches Turks & Caicos with high hopes and were really disappointed given how expensive the trip was (far more than any other Caribbean vacation). If you haven’t booked yet, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. There are other properties in Turks & Caicos that are far more luxurious or you could consider other islands altogether. Last year, we stayed at Grand Hyatt Bahamas which cost much less (despite it not being all inclusive and the food cost being high) and it was such a better! Pros: - you can’t beat the beautiful ocean of Turks and Caicos. Albeit, Bahamas ocean wasn’t bad either, but it is indeed gorgeous. - we had some decent meals while here. Neptunes, Barefoot by the Sea, and Soy were our favorites. We had breakfast at barefoot by the sea 2 days and it was really special. - the staff on the grounds were really friendly - the Italian pool was really fun during the day and the DJ was really nice. Cons: - the room in French village was really disappointing. The rooms were so outdated and the bathroom was down right disgusting. To be charging people over $1000/night for a family of 4 and provide a room with holes in the side of the tub, random stains all over the place, a dysfunctional fan, and an air conditioning that couldn’t keep the humidity away and didn’t get the room cold enough to match thermostat). We also had multiple power failures that messed up the WiFi for a day after the power did come back. -the staff at the front lobby were not very helpful. I asked if someone could fix the broken fan and the guy looked at me with such an attitude and no one ever came. The fan remained broken the entire trip. Our lobby staff were also not informed about activities and never picked up the phone when calling from the room. - they ran out of towels by the Italian pool by mid morning, so we had to literally air dry the first day and then wake up super early to claim towels before the crowd. — while most of the food was not bad or OK, I did end up with food poisoning after having breakfast at Mario’s. The man making omelette kept wiping his face which grossed me out, but I tried not to be obnoxious. Boy did I pay the price. I was soo sick a few hours later with chills, stomach issues, extreme fatigue. I basically had to stay in my room the entire last day and cancel all the plans my children and I excitedly had made. If this was cheaper than other places, I could tolerate the cons, but considering this was one of the most expensive vacations we’ve had in the Caribbean in the last 5 years, I would say… Look elsewhere. If you’re reading this AFTER you’ve booked… don’t panic. Most kids don’t notice holes in bathrooms and stains on ceilings. They enjoyed the blue ocean and the lively Italian pool. Just mentally be prepared to be disappointed and make the most of it.

We recently stayed at Beaches Turks and Caicos, in the French Village (rooms 1247, 1249, and 1253), and overall, our group had a wonderful experience! First off, the resort itself is absolutely stunning. The grounds are well kept and beautifully landscaped, with tropical flowers and trees everywhere you look. The pools were clean, inviting, crowded but relaxing there’s something for everyone. The food was fantastic so many options to choose from across all the villages. From fresh seafood to Caribbean favorites and international cuisines, we were never disappointed. The bars were also a highlight fun atmosphere, great cocktails, and friendly bartenders who made sure everyone was having a good time. You definitely won’t go hungry or thirsty here! Now, we want to give a special thank you to Shenece, our morning room attendant in the French Village. She was truly amazing. Every day, she took excellent care of all three of our rooms. They were always fresh and welcoming when we return. Her warm personality and everything she did stood out, and she made us feel right at home. She told us what restaurants to try the opening and closing hours where to get buffet style Shenece answered every question correctly you can tell she’s really great at her job we were all so grateful for her efforts. The only downside during our stay was the evening turndown service. The staff member we dealt with, I believe her name was Pauline, was not up to the resort’s usual high standards. We asked her to return later in the evening, but she never came back. On the one night she did turn down our room, it was done carelessly towels thrown on the rack, beds not made properly, and an overall lack of effort. As someone who’s worked as a room attendant before, I know the difference between quality service and just going through the motions and sadly, this was the latter. Her attitude wasn’t welcoming either, which was disappointing. That said, this one issue didn’t overshadow how much we enjoyed the rest of our stay. Beaches Turks and Caicos is a beautiful, vibrant resort with excellent food, drinks, and activities and with team members like Shenece, it really shines.
