Our trip didn’t start as planned when our WestJet flight was cancelled, causing us to miss our first day and arrive late the following evening. We were disappointed and exhausted—but that quickly changed upon arriving at SOL Palmeras. The lobby staff, along with Osiris from customer service management, welcomed our group of 16 with cocktails, had our rooms organized and ready, and immediately turned our experience around. Osiris and the team also worked hard to try to secure an additional day to make up for the one we lost. While WestJet ultimately couldn’t accommodate a return flight on the extended day, the effort and care from the resort did not go unnoticed. From that point on, everything exceeded expectations. The resort is spotless, well maintained, and inviting, with modern, comfortable rooms that are clearly well cared for. The buffet offered excellent variety, with the fish selection standing out, along with quality cured meats and cheeses. One of our favorite areas was the beach patio bar—an absolute oasis leading right onto the beach and the perfect place to spend the day. The coffee deserves its own mention—it was unbelievable. Cappuccinos, lattes, Frappuccinos, and even the regular coffee were exceptional. We often found ourselves having two at a time, and it’s been very hard to go back to Tim Hortons since returning home. We were there for New Year’s Eve, and the dinner was outstanding. Lobster, seafood, turkey, fish, roast beef, roasted pork—everything was plentiful and cooked to perfection. What truly sets SOL Palmeras apart is the staff. Their warmth and attentiveness rival much higher-end resorts. Sandro at the main lobby bar created high-end cocktails that elevated our evenings, while Jorge was consistently lovely, warm, and attentive, always ensuring our drinks were ready for us at the beach patio bar. Across the board, the team went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. The only minor drawback was that the main pool was under construction, though it’s being upgraded to a swim-up bar and will be fantastic once completed. In all honesty, we barely noticed—the beachfront completely steals the show. Crystal-clear water, no seaweed, plenty of space and chairs, and never an issue accommodating our group of 16. Overall, our stay was everything we had hoped for. SOL Palmeras offers exceptional value—more affordable than many comparable resorts, yet still delivering a high level of service, comfort, and quality. We would highly recommend it and would absolutely return.

It’s was an amazing vacation, the staff and the resort is amazing! I recommend it to everyone .. I’ve been to this hotel 6 times
