The hotel is very well structured and not too big and not too small. They have a buffet and two a la carte restaurants and diferent bars and a coffee corner which we liked very much. The food was good. The staff is really nice and helpfull. Fantastic beach

We did enjoy our holidays very much and made the most of it. All the staff was wonderful and helpful and professional. The beach is one of the best we have ever been. Cristal clear water and fine white sand. Food was good and drinks ok. Our room was good and spacious. No issues within the hotel and the excursions we made were worth the money.

Hmmm, not sure where to start as I was well aware that Cuba is very different from other places I have travelled. But with that being said what the country is experiencing plays a huge roll in the tourist industry and it showed. The hotel is nice but is in sad need of repairs and upgrades, worn and torn sacked out seat cushions, lumpy hard pillows etc... and I realize it may be partially because supplies are just not readily available but if the hotel chains want us to keep coming they need to step it up. With only 2 ala carte eateries with limited menus the same food daily for 14 days was a bit much, again we were aware of the shortages going there. Staff moral was a bit sad and understandably so, having to put up with us lot of guests that complained about slow service, (30 mins sometimes just to get a drink at the main bar with only a hand full of folks ordering. It was like they were instructed not to overserve anyone ) watered down drinks booze running out not having tp in the bathrooms. The standards of sanitation was another thing that interested me, we westerners following covid wash our hands after looking at anything let alone touching and I noticed some pretty sketchy practices with the food service and bar folks. Kinda turned me off food to be honest. Our room was well appointed and clean, just not comfortable. Not alot to do at this hotel, yes amazing beach, sadly pretty rough water most of the 2 weeks. ( darn mother nature ) The pool area is nice but with activities going on, not quiet for relaxing. Not complaining as we went to the beach for that, just an FYI. We did see the manager there everyday doing his best to make sure all were looked after, kudos to you sir. Be also for warned the elevators are small and slow, not good for those with claustrophobia. In conclusion we felt 2 weeks was a bit to long for us, who crave more adventure but we did have an amazing educational time there and made our own fun. The hop on hop off bus is great for getting around. The select option in my opinion would not have been worth it at all. Do think we will not return, personal preference but I am not saying we regret it either. Was a great experience in learning about the wonderful country of Cuba.

Fantastic week at the Blau Varadero. We have been to Cuba a lot of times and we prefer this hotel. The staff is amazing. The beach is beautiful. Food is good. Don't expect european standards. But there is a lot of choice. Entertainment is a blast. Never seen so many things going on in a hotel. Music grups, singers, foam party, white party, aqua-ballet, retro night, disco at the beach......etc etc

We have just returned from a week long stay at the Blau Varadero. The resort is well maintained and well run. Staff is very helpful and friendly. We stayed in the Select Oceanview room on the ninth floor. Room was very clean and spacious. The food and drinks were spotty in their availability, but they tried to accommodate us. Music was wonderful at this resort, live band in the afternoon , by the pool and piano bar at night. The Chill Out bar, exclusive to Select members was a great place to get a specialty drink and was air conditioned and very comfortable. The Select breakfast by the pool was a disappointment. We were there on the 15th of April and were told we could have one egg each or a very small omelet. We ended up back at the buffet and did not return for our reservation for breakfast on the 16th. The resort is very beautiful and plan on returning in the future.
