A series of improvements is being carried out in the main lobby of the Iberostar Origin Tainos.
The renovation will be carried out in phases to reduce visual disruption and is expected to last until mid-February 2025. During this period, all reception and lobby bar services will continue to operate as usual.
Although some noise may be heard, all efforts will be made to minimize impact to guests during this time.
Overview
Tainos were indigenous inhabitants of Cuba and were the first to discover the beauty of the waters of Varadero. This hotel was designed in the syle of a Caribbean Village and includes a cave with pre-Colombian paintings and the Varahicacos ecological reserve.

We just got back from this resort. Probably once upon a time is been great place but not anymore. Staff is really friendly and doing their best but needs renovations on all levels . Hygiene is very poor . In the buffet restaurant , Japanis restaurant and in our room we got cockroaches. We are there for the sun and the beautiful beaches and willing to compromise the food limited selection but not with cockroaches everywhere . This property should be 2-3 stars max . Do not recommend it with this conditions

This resort is very lovely! The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the food is good, especially the two a La Carte restaurants. The rooms were clean and comfortable (we stayed in one of the bungalows), and the beach is beautiful! The manager of the hotel, Jania, gave us really good recommendations for personalized tours which were cheaper and a much better experience than the large group tours offered by Sunwing etc. We would definitely stay here again!
