Starfish Varadero. Staff make the resort. From being checked in at front desk to gardeners, chamber maids, bar staff ( pool bar/snack bar the best) . Food in the buffets plentiful, nice assortment, desserts to die for and frozen ice cream every day. Pool snack bar had the best spaghetti, sandwiches and fries daily. Attended cocktails and a la cartes. Any questions while there see Customer Service. They go out of their way to help. want to make sure everyone's happy and like to hear any suggestions to help make the stay the best experience ever. Thanks Alfredo R (Customer Service) You appeared everywhere , always talking to guests, making sure all's well. Enjoyed out many chats. Wayne and Linda

If you really want to enjoy your holidays at starfish you need to do two things Take a drink at the quiet pool in the afternoon Go have dinner at the spoons restaurant. Cuba has a shortage off a lot of things but smiles is something never is missing here, the warmth of friends is everywhere. Not a five star hotel, a family resort. Great to have good memories.

We arrived at the hotel during the evening and we could eat the Best burguer ever.The Sports bar offer a great service. The reception lady was very helpfull and the customer service was all time ready to help. The hotel is very Big and no elevators but we camel to exercise ,so we enjoyed a Lot all the walks. We'll return soon !!

I’ve stayed for 7 days at Starfish Varadero with my family and we loved how we were treated by the resort employes, especially Alfredo put our viset experience in another level! I highly recommend Starfish resort, it has most beautiful beach that I have seem before! 24hs drink and snack bar, 3 meals a day breakfast, luch and dinner and the swiming pool it’s amazing for kids and adults!!

The front desk attendants need training on how to deal with customers. From the time we arrived they were not helpful at all. Our safe was not working we told them several times and nothing was done to resolve it. We went to customer service for another service and they had it operational within 20 minutes. 3 days to 20 minutes. Also front desk did not make us aware of any of the functions onsite and it was difficult to understand as we thought the board was not kept up to date. The front desk didn’t explain the beach towel situation to us and we were delayed getting our beach towel and went to leave and didn’t realize we needed to return the beach towel to the handler. Overall most of the staff was okay. It was delayed getting tea and coffee in the mornings and drinks at lunch and supper. I’m not sure if it’s the bigger tip the better service or what. The buffet was okay. Lots of food available just not all to my taste. The night time entertainment was pretty good. It started at 9:30 and ran between 30-90 mins. They also had other stuff available like yoga and that but we didn’t see the schedule right away and it was in an awkward spot. We would return again if the price was right.
