I had another enjoyable holiday at The Savannah Beach Hotel. We arrived to a warm welcome from the reception team offering a rum punch. Thank you to Marsha for looking after us whilst there. It was much appreciated. A big thank you also goes to all the hard workers who looked after us during meal times. Beverley, Alicia, Gabrielle, Elisa, Nadia, Sheena. Sorry if I missed your name but everyone was amazing. Can I just add, to all us holidaymakers, it doesn’t take much to just say a “please or thank you” when we are offered anything. Everyone was working hard in such hot weather. Well done all ???? The only thing I would suggest for the a la cart menu, there is only 1 option for vegetarians where there was 3 options for meat and fish eater. Some more choices needed for vegetarians.
Outstanding in every way. Best hotel on Barbados

A wonderful 4th stay at this very special haven. Paradise in every way. Firstly, the team, first class, and so so friendly and kind. It would be wrong to single anyone out, everyone has been incredible (but we did love Beverley and as it is her Birthday today we will say a special thank you to her, the most glam lady on the island). The building, rooms and grounds are very ‘boutique’ and immaculate. We have stayed in many places on this perfect island since the 80s but Savannah is my favourite, and have stayed with my best friend, my husband and with the family. Food, restaurants exceptional. Service world class. Beach lovely and position great for walks and seeing places out and about. It is very safe. Do not hesitate to go. We leave tonight but a huge thank you to Mr Messiah GM and your incredible team. See you very soon with the family. Linda and Jacqui xx

Spent 2weeks at the hotel and the hotel has not changed very much from 8 years ago. The breakfast was great but lunch and dinner average .The beach is kept clean by the beach staff and plenty of beech towels provided/ for going in sea you will need something on your feet as rocky/ there are plenty of other beaches within walking distance or get the yellow bus to Holetown and get sunbed +umbrella approx. 30BBD for the day great bar/restaurant on beech When booking room recommend the pool view rooms as the courtyard rooms are too near kitchen odours for me Overal the staff were great and made my stay fab - The hotel is in need of a proper refurb - it is dropping into 3:4 star instead of 4.star
The Savannah Beach Club Hotel and Spa... WOW!

We stayed here for 10 days. Would definitely recommend. The staff were fantastic, nothing too much trouble, very friendly and helpful. The room is clean and serviced regularly, with lots of storage space and a comfortable king-size bed. The views are awesome, regardless of which room you are in. We had 2 rooms for our stay, both overlooking the pool. Ours had stairs from our room, which was convenient for a daily dip, or the main pool where drinks are served in Drifters. Food was superb, very Bajan which is tasty and varied. Didn't go a-la-carte in Rachel's as food in Drifters was perfect. The beach at The Savannah is a Turtle laying destination so we were thrilled on our first night to see over 300 hatchlings. Overall I would recommend, for the staff, cleanliness of the hotel and location. We will definitely be back... only downside is 10 days isn't long enough..
DIABOLICAL RECEPTION STAFF RECEPTION NEED THE BOOT OF THIS HOTEL

WE NEVER THOUGHT WE WOULD HAVE WITNESSED HELL ON EARTH!!!!!!!! EXTEMELY,EXTEMELY RUDE RECEPTION STAFF We have read previous reviews and we had our reservations about visiting this hotel but for the guest who said they had a good time we unfortunately cannot relate or the good reviewers are being paid. The reception staff enjoyed saying no- in fact everything we asked was greeted with a no! Very unhelpful and uninterested as were most of all not customer friendly. We visited the reception on several occasions during our stay which ended couple days ago and the staff failed to engage in our request and needs to us we felt as we were inconveniencing them as they were all very pensive, dreadful and a disgrace to be in reception customer service jobs. We witnessed staff arguing amongst themselves and complaining that their system has been changed and they were left to figure it out not knowing what to do. We then asked for the leader or manager of the front desk, who did not know how to help us as she was also amongst the staff complaining. Marsha you and your staff need training then you can revert to your post in all our years of travelling we have never witness such a dysfunctional reception team. These staff leaves you feeling very turned around and does not solve any issues. We believe robots would have treated us nicer. We was very disappointed with this hotel. We though this was a 4* hotel, which we would rate 2*. at best. This is not a hotel for anyone that cannot climb stairs. We had to climb 4 flights of stairs to our room which my husband has bad knees and by the end of the holiday is in lots of pain. The lone elevator is only on one side and moves slower than if you are actually climbing the stairs. Empty glasses and plates were left for days at the bottom of the stairs. We did encounter rain which then led to the roof of the building that went into our wardrobe leaking and we had puddles of water in the wardrobe and on the floor in our room making all our clothes damp and started to smell. The room we had was okay, but so basic, it felt like a hotel or hostel I stayed in when I was in my early 20’s not 50’s, water runs very slowly and has cheap shampoos and soaps. The internet connection was to be honest and fair great for at least ten minutes at a time, constantly fading in and out and one having to regularly reboot. Slightly surly service in the restaurant, some pleasant, others not so. Beverly very rude. Food very very underwhelming, and so we decided to eat out most nights, as the hotel was depressing. A bit more money would have been more prudent and next time we would stay at a much nicer resort, as the island is stunning and this hotel really should be avoided at all cost. This was supposed to be a special holiday of lovely memories but just left bad memories. Sorry for the review, but I’m just been brutally honest - really if you’re looking find somewhere else!!!
