Where do I start? This place is amazing. Stunning beach; glorious pools with quite the social scene; huge, clean rooms, and plenty to do around the resort. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. Most importantly, the service was excellent - the staff make this place what it is. They helped me out a number of times in ways I cannot repay.

I haven’t written a review for sometime but feel compelled to do so on this occasion, with the small hope of things surely can improve, in any organisation There are strong staff members and poor staff members , what you can’t have is when the poor outweigh the strong which is clearly the case within the crane, yes there are some really good stuff members but they are dragged down by too many really poor ones, some in particular quite passive aggressive. Let’s start with the air-conditioning in the room ,yes it is slightly improved but for this you dare not open the windows or even open the blind to leave any sun in ,as the air-conditioning is so poor it takes so long ,to get down to a stickable temperature, take into account that you’ve paid for a Seaview ,that you dare not enjoy. Oh yes, I forgot they had they charge you for the air-conditioning as well. I have to share with you my experience at the carriage house, when I initially stood at the pedestal to await to be shown to a table for 10 minutes, then one hour later I was told the food would be eight more minutes, over 20 minutes later the food had still not appeared , so after 90 minutes from entering the carriage house me and my family eventually gave up, no it was not super busy and no it was not understaffed in reality. It was quite pathetic, sorry for my honesty. To round off my day my family and I visited bar 1887 this evening and sat at the table right by the entrance near the singing duo and witnessed 4 to 5 staff members just stood by the bar for 10-15 minutes and not one of them approached us to take a drink order , not only is this terrible customer service but also terrible business as this lost profit would surely help the crane to improve, we eventually after not being approached just got up and have not come back to a room, I hope that someone of a authority and influence within the crane could not just answer this with the standard answer but actually implement actions to improve things please , I really mean this as I’ve been coming to the crane for over 16 years

Went for lunch to check out the crane, with regards to a possible stay in April. No doubt still an impressive property and location, had an excellent lunch. However couldn't help but notice how tired some areas were, chair legs scuffed and dirty, food stains on chairs in restaurant. Charged for a more expensive bottle of wine although this was resolved . Not sure we will be going in April.

We loved everything about this resort. My friend and I had a huge 1 BR/2BA unit overlooking the ocean. We didn't get a plunge pool, but I was okay with that. The room was comfortable and the staff promptly attentive when we called to fix the partially functioning AC in the LR area. Bed was very comfortable. Showers missing bath gel but that's minor. I had my own. Grounds were lush and beautifully maintained and manicured. We even saw monkeys in the trees! Food at all of the restaurants where we ate on property was good (though pricier than in town, as expected. We were on resort.) Beach was amazing! Atlantic Ocean, so waves were rough, but water clear blue and warm! Transportation readily available. The staff was so attentive, friendly and accommodating. Close to airport so easy/short distance travel coming in and leaving. I'd stay here again & recommend to my friends and family.

As a local resident, my fiancé and I choose the Crane as our home away from home. Our stay at the Crane Resort was made exceptional by assistance from the helpful front office staff. The staff were extremely responsive to our needs and were able to make our stay an enjoyable one. Karen was accommodating and courteous in assisting us with our request for a different room, and ensured that we did not feel like a bother at all! The bellman who swiftly picked us up and transported us to another room in the resort was helpful and pleasant. The bar staff and even the ground staff are always mannerly and welcoming. It is for this reason that we choose the Crane every time for guaranteed amazing staycation experience!
