Underwhelmed

The good -check in was quick -rooms are spacious -beds are comfortable -food was good for an AI -entertainment was great during the day and at night. -Sarah and Anjelica at the pool and beach were amazing. -Alfredo at the sports bar was amazing as well. The bad. -the service at the coffee shop was hit and miss. They don't speak English and sometimes wouldn't make things you ordered. -hard to find chairs by the pool without waking up early to reserve. -the bathroom smelled like sewer. -the elevators are tiny and a little sketchy. They make weird noises and you never know which floor they'll stop on. The worst. - the second to last day we were there money was stolen from my wife's backpack by someone in housekeeping. I met with a PR person and she brought a guy up to the room with gloves on. He went through all of our stuff as if we did something wrong. The PR person said they can't prove the money was stolen. I said check the hallway cameras to see who cleaned our room. She kept making excuses and really did nothing to resolve the situation. -4 of the 7 people in our group developed a weird rash. We talked to another family at checkout and their 2 kids also developed a rash. I had high hopes for this place because of all the positive reviews but after being to two other resorts we were underwhelmed.
Good and Worst Beach Palace Cancun

Good and Worst Beach Palace Cancun The good: the entertainment staff at the main pool was amazing and energetic. They were very friendly and always included everyone in the activities. The energy in the main pool area was amazing. Shout out to Sergio, he doing a stellar job. 10/10 The pool side servers were great as well and always timely with orders and incredibly polite. 9/10 The beds were amazing and my wife and I got some of the best sleep we have ever had. 10/10 The roof pool and bar were nice and quiet if you wanted to get away for a little. 9/10 The ice-cream was great across the entire resort however most of the other desserts seemed to be flavorless. 5.5/10 The restaurants were good over all and we enjoyed them. 7.5/10 The offsite day trip excursion to Tulum and swimming in Cenote’s were an absolute blast and would recommend that to everyone. 11/10 Was very family friendly as well and of course kids will be kids but it wasn’t anything crazy and distracting or negative. 10/10 The worst: My wife got a massage and during it told the masseur it was to rough and to ease up multiply times. That did not happen and my wife came back sore and in pain with bruises all over her back and legs. She could barely walk the next day. I understand massages are supposed to make you sore and we have had many massage before but this was absolutely ridiculous. When you tell someone to not go as hard their response should not be “it is supposed to be like this”. The resort didn’t care what happened and brushed it off saying we reviewed all other massages from this masseur and nothing seems to be wrong so we aren’t doing anything about it. 1/10 Other small things are I really wanted to play beach volleyball and beach soccer the week I was here but it never happened because there were to many lawn chairs in the sand. 2/10 My wife and I were going to come back to beach palace but after this response from the resort regarding the massage we will not be coming back. Oh and did I mention this was my honey moon with my wife…
