Room cleanliness poor

hlcaraang (Los Angeles, California) on Jun 09, 2024

Rooms were unkept and not cleaned/dusted. Carpet was not vacuumed and room was not dusted. Dust was petty bad it caused our kids allergies to flare up. Disappointed.

Great trip

We had a great trip at Park MGM. The casino was great but our room was very small. Other than that everything was great! I would definitely recommend!

Do NOT Stay here! AC Units are Now Motion Sensored and Only Turn On When They Detect Movement in the Room! Stingy Hotel!

Jameson B on Jun 08, 2024

Just coming back from Park MGM and will never stay there again. I cannot believe that Park MGM has gotten so cheap and stingy to the point that they are using motion sensored AC units in their rooms. This was terrible as it was 100+ degrees this week at Vegas. I stayed in their nighthawk suite and while it was spacious, the AC system just killed the entire experience. So once you go to bed and there's no movement, the AC shuts off and doesn't come on again until it detects motion in the room. So I would wake up at 3 am with a room that is 80+ degrees. Initially, my buddy and his family had this issue the first night and he called the front desk. They told him that they are motion sensored and this is normal behavior. They offered to send a technician up at 3am which my buddy agreed. My buddy told me that they basically tried to tape a piece of toilet paper near the sensors to try and get the sensors to detect constant movement to keep the AC on which did not work. He was also staying in their most expensive suite. I called Friday morning at 3 am when I woke up in a room that was 85 degrees. The front desk confirmed to me that the AC unit is in fact motion sensored. The employee had no problem being super candid about it (as if they get this question/complaint all the time). I asked him how this makes any sense considering there will be no motion when guests are sleeping. He literally said, "that's exactly what I told upper management but that's what Park MGM wanted...they wanted to be super cheap so this is what they did. I totally get what you're saying and I think it's stupid too." So even the employees know it's stupid but there's nothing they can do. This clearly is going to save Park MGM MILLIONS on their electricity bills, especially during the summers, but it's all at the cost of their guests comfort. Needless to say, I'll be leaving a negative review on all platforms and will never stay there again or recommend them. Oh, also, when you get out of the elevators into their hallways , it's like a furnace. Even the casino floor gets pretty warm. Stingy stingy Casio. Stay Far Far Away!!

The Park MgM

Great place to stay. One of its greatest selling points was that fact that it’s a smoke free Hotel. 100% will stay here again!

During our stay June 2-7, 2024, we found our room to be shabby, the furniture dated and worn, the mattress completely shot. A horrible stay.
