Very clean!

jcat11200 (Kingman, Arizona) on Sep 10, 2024

We stayed at the Park MGM because of its proximity to an event at the Grand. Always wanted to try it out because I heard it was a very clean hotel ( probably due to the nonsmoking atmosphere) it didn’t disappoint, we’ll be back!

Mid-tier is MGM's best

eddie_chacha on Sep 10, 2024

MGM’s extremely millennial-core resort, with a “parks of Europe” theme that I’m sure is purposely vague. I rolled my eyes at the marketing, but it does seem to be working at attracting a more diverse and slightly yuppier brand of folk than their other properties. But that’s also because it’s genuinely a good stay. Outside of the rooms being city hotel sized and having barely any furniture (presumably to help housekeeping flip them quickly), the vibes are pretty unmatched compared to their other spots. The rooms are clean (@ Luxor), the aesthetic isn’t corny (@ NY-NY) the location isn’t in the middle of nowhere strip wise (@ Mandalay Bay) and I can walk through the casino floor uninterrupted, unlike any time I’ve stayed at Bellagio (!!!) or passed through Aria. My preferred spot going forward, unless people start streaming in and they jack up rates. Which they might. My tip: take advantage of the tram to Aria and Bellagio. You can also get to the Cosmopolitan from the Bellagio tram stop. The NY-NY is also across the street, and you can access all the MGM resorts on that side on foot.

Great location, great value

ParkMGM is one of a cadre (including Aria and Vdara and infrequently, Bellagio) of MGM properties that I visit regularly and I am never disappointed. Primrose is my #1 favorite breakfast/brunch destination among the MGM properties, both at the bar when I am alone, or in the restaurant when I am enjoying a meal with friends. I am told that they operate separately, but both are friendly, fun and reasonable compared to many other venues. Being a non-behemoth property, check in and out is always easy and except for when there is an event at the T-Mobile Center, getting in and out (by cab for me) is also quite easy. But be aware of the T-Mobile events. The walkway/tramway all the way from ParkMGM to Aria, over to Vdara and then to Cosmopolitan and Bellagio, provides the opportunity for an avid walker like myself to visit all of those properties without having to deal with heat (well, a little going from Aria to Vdara) and the zombie hordes lumbering along the Strip. A very close by CVS provides various items that one may want to have in one's room without paying the outrageous hotel store prices, but I didn't tell you that. And of course, the entire hotel is non-smoking. That means EVERYTHING and EVERYWHERE, including the casino. That could be a deal breaker for some but for me it is well appreciated. Of course, Park MGM isn't and will never be Aria, Vdara nor Bellagio. It's not expected to be and its certainly not priced that way. The staff is very friendly but the rooms are only "mid", although that is only in comparison to the other luxury properties.
