Worn, but great location.

We had a delayed flight and the airline provided a voucher for this hotel. The person at checking was nice and helpful. All the staff for the 1 night stay were nice and professional. The pool area looked nice with beautiful waterfalls. The lobby and restaurant are nicely appointed. The room we had and building are in need of some TLC. There are obvious repairs that are needed. Given the location in the water, this old hotel deserves an upgrade.

Pros Pool area nice Not crowded Chairs available You could walk and get a drink or food at the beach bar if you want Rooms have a balcony and ours overlooked the pool so it was nice The drive up to the resort was lovely with tree lined street We ordered off the menu for breakfast and liked it each time and the server we had was always great .. we didn’t do the buffet so I don’t know about that Parking is 33 a night plus the resort fee and I think they take a 100 deposit Cons: Don’t have pool service and could use it Overhead lights in the lobby were dirty with dust and stuff and needed to be cleaned Gym was really bad Outdated rust on all machines Laundry area 2 dryers broken .. only 2 dryers working and many people trying to use them There were 2 boarded up hotel rooms on our floor which didn’t look nice The shingles on the roof looked like a mismatch mess The lounge chairs all had a faint red stain to them Only one bathroom working in the pool area women’s bathroom Did not really like their restaurant shutters for dinner Hotel could use a paint job in many places Chairs and fabrics were very worn in the breakfast area Every single day at 3 pm There is helicopter practice right next door to the resort .. all day long the helicopters take off and land and take off and land every 20 minutes …
