Deceptive Fees and Disregard for Guests: A Warning About OUTRIGGER Kauai Beach Resort & Spa

Caution: Hidden Fees Alert! Despite being assured by the hotel front desk that the only additional charge beyond our reservation was the $35+tax per night resort fee, we were shocked to discover nearly $150 in unexpected charges the following day. We were initially informed that both valet and self-parking were covered in our reservation, only to be told later that an additional $29+tax per night was required for parking on top of the resort fee. This unauthorized doubling of charges is unacceptable, especially after being assured otherwise. This resort is notorious for its hidden fees, evident from numerous similar complaints that have been blatantly disregarded by the management. It's clear they prioritize profit over customer satisfaction. Save yourself the headache and seek accommodations elsewhere to avoid falling victim to their deceptive practices.

We stayed at the Kauai Beach Resort from Feb. 27th, to March 11th, and it was an incredible stay, again. This was our second time at this property, the third in Kauai. Chris Simon is the front-end Manager, and a really nice man. Even though we were there on a VRBO stay, that didn't keep Chris from treating us like valued guests, helping us with everything from parking, to talking about the progress of the Outrigger's new policy at this property, and some of the Hotel's visions for their future. but it was his attitude towards us that impressed me the most. I look forward to dealing with Chris, Saddie, and the rest of the desk crew, when we return in 15 months. Mahalo, Chris! We spend most of our time there at the pool, pool bar, and Shutter's bar. Although we had breakfast and dinner a few times at the Terrace, but mostly at the pool area. Our great, wonderful food, and beverage manager Roselyn Mae was just terrific! she was very accommodating, with her genuine polarizing smile. She has an awesome crew, and her attitude is infectious. Everyone who is working there seems happy, and comfortable there. Amanda, Gracia we spent the most time conversing, and having fun while they worked. They were always friendly to us, and it was a pleasure to hang out with them. Justine was only there for a few of our days there, she also seemed very friendly, we just didn't spend much time with her. Now, Jenn Jenn was just a pleasure. she always seems happy, and so bubbly! She was bringing us our food, always with a smile! We chatted with her various times, a real nice person. Inside Shutter's there were (Always Roselyn), Rye, and Leyland. They were real nice guys, we did spend some time with them, and they were also friendly, and real funny guys. We enjoyed spending time in there with other tourists, and employees. Really an incredible visit there. We were very fortunate to have found a lot of wonderful people, at such a pretty place such as the Kauai Beach Resort. I highly recommend it, and we look forward to our next visit!
