We have stayed at The Garland a number of times and always enjoy going back. The personalised service has been impressive. The friendly staff always make us feel very welcome and deliver exceptional customer service. We find hotel very relaxing, suitable for individuals or families. The ‘Front Yard’ is a casual indoor / outdoor dining area. The ‘Courtyard’ has lounge furniture, umbrellas, heaters and food & drinks service. ’The Store’ offers some excellent gifts / essential travel needs. There is a gym, heated swimming pool and 2 spas with adjacent bar facilities. Plenty of room to spread out with sun-lounges, umbrellas and towels provided. The hotel has excellent laundry facilities where customers can do their own washing / drying. We have used this multiple times each visit. There is an ATM immediately behind reception for access to cash We have always selected pool-side rooms which have a balcony with an excellent outlook. The rooms have a safe, ironing facilities, high-dryer and multiple device charging. The hotel is very close to Universal Studios and shopping mall and a free bus service runs on the hour from 8:15 am to 10:15 pm every day. We highly recommend The Garland.

Cannot fault The Garland. It had always been on my wishlist of LA hotels to stay at and we finally did in November for four nights. The decor alone is incredible, so beautifully designed, the staff are lovely, the location is perfect and access to Universal is fantastic. Ample parking space and the pool was exactly what the kids needed after exploring all day. They played while we sat with a cocktail. Rooms were spacious (we had a double) and the water pressure in the shower was great. I strongly encourage anyone to be there on a Tuesday and take part in the morning neighbourhood walk, it was so lovely to see our surroundings through the eyes of the staff who work and live there, with the absolute bonus of seeing the Brady Bunch house. The Garland is a five minute drive from a Ralphs, Starbucks and pharmacy, and within ten minutes of a massive Target (or a short shuttle provided by the hotel to Universal Studios and city walk.) Highly recommend to anyone and cannot wait to go back again.

We stayed 5 nights around Thanksgiving. 1. Location Very close to Universal Hollywood. There’s a shuttle bus every hour for free. 2. Room Large enough, good bed, everything was nicely decorated and updated. 3. Service Excellent service, friendly staff It is an old hotel renovated to retro modern. Design works well and many details of artwork throughout, very stylish, cute, cozy hotel and loved it.

If you want a cozy, comfortable stay you won't go wrong with The Garland. Clean, neat rooms, friendly staff, impeccable atmosphere. Great location to Universal Studios and Hollywood. This was my second stay and I will return.

We were recommended this hotel by ChatGPT when we searched for a luxury hotel close to Universal Studios.....turned out to be the favoirte part of our trip. We loved the midcentury boutique hotel vibe! The restaurant was AMAZING! This is a family owned hotel and you can feel the positive difference this makes and all the attention to details.
