Absolutely magnificent. The staff puts this place at the top. The hotel has so much personality. Nightly swims with movies for the kids, trolley to universal and back, comfortable rooms. This is a hidden gem. Shout out to bartender Bayron for remarkable service!!

We wanted a safe area to stay and picked Universal studios, we didn’t want to spend a fortune on large hotels. After checking trip advisor we found The Garland hotel near to Universal studios. On arrival we were delighted. The staff are so friendly. The hotel is a boutique style hotel. The pool, restaurant, bedrooms in fact everything was amazing. A big bonus is the shuttle to Universal studios. We will stay again.

Well what can I say? From the minute we walked in nothing was too much trouble. The staff go above and beyond and everybody who passed you gave a smile and a friendly hello. The room was immaculate and the beds and pillows were the best. The room was serviced every day and well equipped with a little fridge and coffee machine as well as coffee, sugar etc. It was lovely to have a balcony to sit out and have coffee on in the morning. The shuttle bus to Universal Studios was a great touch too. The pool and bar area were amazing with plenty of fresh towels to use, sitting in the hot tub under the stars was heaven and the films of an evening were lovely. Cocktails are delicious. Can't wait to visit again in the future, loved it.

Absolutely Loved this hotel ,Staff were Lovely , very close to universal, ( free bus from the hotel )Brilliant, Couldn't Fault anything,Apart from the ridiculous Bathroom Slidy Door ,That wouldn't close !!! ( Or lock )They need replacing with proper doors .

We had a great 3-night stay at this hotel in March 2025. The location is convenient, and the complimentary shuttle to Universal Studios was a big plus. Our room (#306) was clean, and the king-size bed was comfortable. One highlight was the live music in the courtyard, which was also piped into the pool area—such a nice touch. We spent time at the pool bar and really enjoyed dining at Front Yard restaurant, which was on-site; it even offers a happy hour until midnight. The staff was welcoming throughout our stay. Although the hotel is close to the freeway, our room was quiet, and we didn’t notice any traffic noise. We’d definitely choose to stay here again.
