I stayed at the Hyatt Regency in November 2024 with my partner, Upon arrival my partner was asked a deposit of roughly US$100 for one night in one room. I'm a seasoned traveller and this is the highest deposit I was ever asked for. The deposit was taken in 5s seconds from my partner's bank account without any issue by the deck clerck. The next day we had to extend one night in the same room and were once again another deposit of the same amount ! I paid it by credit card and again the money was taken straight up. It's now January and neither my partner nor I got our deposits back. Countless mail exchanged with various employees confirmed there was no issue with the room and claimed the money wasn't held anymore by the company and the issue came from our banks. Bottom line is our money was taken without any problem, never saw it back, don't stay in this hotel.
No food or snacks between midnight and 5:00 AM

Convenient to LAX . Rooms look nice. Circulation fan is noisy all night. No food or snacks at hotel between midnight and 5:00 AM. I stayed here for a layover from Europe to my flight home. At 1:00 AM, I awoke hungry due to time change. I had no food with me as I arrived from Europe. I went to reception at 1:00 AM about food options. Informed no food or vending machines with food or snacks between midnight and 5:00. However, a snack vending machine is in parking garage. So, I walked out of the hotel into the parking garage at 1:00 AM. The snack that I am interested in is $2.00. Machine does not take credit cards, only $1 bills. I have a $1 and a $5 so I go back inside to reception to get ones for my $5 and am informed that they have no cash!!! And really, she could care less attitude. So, I check out at 3:30 AM to go to LAX for food. Luckily, the shuttle driver is nice as well as efficient. By the way, I asked for a paper receipt at check out was told "no receipts" as they are doing auditing! I will NEvER stay here again ! Really? No food/snacks?
