Overall the hotel is very good if you get a good room. Unfortunately, even though we booked a higher category we were assigned a horrible room. With great difficulty and time they assigned us a better room. It was stressful. The dining options are all very good. There are not a lot of options but for a stay of four nights it’s perfect.

My family of four had 4 good nights/days at Dreams Los Cabos. The resort has many virtues and a few negatives that families with young children should consider. As far as the pros, the folks who work at Dreams Los Cabos get an A for effort. Even if the execution and service is uneven, they are hard working, pleasant and resourceful hospitality folks who are very service oriented. Portofino (the Italian restaurant) is excellent (just come early), the ceviche at Seafood Grille and wings at Barefoot Grille are standouts. Room service was on time and solid the first time, but took 1.5 hours on the second time, which was frustrating especially given that it was only one simple pasta dish for our child. The fire and pirate shows were fun live spectacles which the kids really enjoyed. The swim up bar in the middle of the main pool, Seafood Grill, Portofino, Spa staff, the check in folks, and the activities folks were standouts. Shout out to Rosario and Santiago at Portofino and Eli at Barefoot Bar, Mar and John at the activities team were great, all the waiters at Seaside Grille and the bartenders at the main swim up bar. Just excellent and fun people. As far as the cons: The biggest by far was the lack of available food for kids. There was just no easy menu of consistent items like pasta, pizza, chicken nuggets, etc which was always available at Dreams Puerto Vallarta. Manatee's and Oceana (which are on the farther side of the resort) had service quality drop off. Much slower service of food, not well cooked food, and generally just handled guests like customers at a club. That was also weird. The vibe on the main side of the hotel was just totally different from the Manatee/Oceana side. The folks at Coco Cafe and Explorers Club were strangely consistently less friendly than everyone else. Our two kids went to Explorers Club twice and each time they had a weird experience. The help, support and attention the workers would give to the kids were uneven. Our kids didn't make much of it but they noted it and we also noted that their reviews were very different from their Explorers Club experience at Dreams Vallarta or Kids Club at Garza Blanca. As far as Coco Cafe, unwarranted eye rolls and what not directed at other guests I saw at the hotel. That was weird. Overall, a great experience for the pros noted above and the swim up pool for our junior suite. For perspective, Dreams in PV gets a 4 from us and Garza Blanca in PV gets a 5. So that this gives you some perspective of our of subjective scale.

We had an amazing vacation. This resort met all expectations. all staff were friendly and helpful. Our servers each day Irvin, Humberto & Angel were exceptional. They went over and above to meet our needs. Shout out to John (Manuel) from the entertainment crew. Also to Nirvana, Jessica & Mar they were absolute dolls. Recommend this resort.

We loved our stay. The staff was way more friendly and engaging than i expected. Food was above standard All-inclusive that you expect. Bourdoux was our favorite restaurant, we didnt expect good french food in Mexico. Swim-out room with our kids was awesome. Overall above my expectations with ambiance, cleanliness, food, entertainment/activities and staff. We’ll likely come back but we took a chance being our first time here and no reviews from friends but left very happy. Thanks for a great stay.

We absolutely loved our room, it was a preferred swim out pool view room. All staff were friendly, with the wait staff at the adult pool and those who waited on us at our swim out pool provided exceptional service! We will definitely be back!
