Overlooking the Pacific, the hotel is a newer, modern all-inclusive hotel with excellent service and accommodations. We had a nice suite in the towers with butler service but was upgraded to presidential suite by chance with a cancellation. It was outstanding room with remarkable views of the ocean from 3 vantage points. Rodrigo and Itamar provided outstanding service. Some of the restaurants were better than others. The steakhouse was the best but you had to pay extra but it was worth it. Only bad part was the push to see sales presentations of the condos/villas.
Starts Off A 4 Star Experience....then it slips way down

Let's start with the POSITIVES: Easy flight from LA Great weather Food is very good at the restaurants Cocktails and bars are great Lots of bottled water Other Pueblo properties are accessible Satisfactory room Good pool area Service was mostly ok, --very good at the restaurants Nice room balcony with a screen door to let fresh air in (unless construction is going on —see below). Beautiful well equipped gym overlooking the ocean. Jog and watch the humpback whales and dolphins swim by 30 yards offshore. Adults only ---no kids allowed resort is fantastic Had a strange noise coming from the AC unit on arrival but maintenance fixed it right away Nice beach side bar allowed for great whale watching Great ocean views from the rooms that promise it Now the NEGATIVES: Accosted by dozens of time share vultures at the airport Every person at the resort from the moment we arrived until we started to ignore them pushed the time share BS --makes for a very stressful stay Wanted to set up some whale watching at the front desk but was pitched timeshare BS instead...no one ever helped us set up any offsite activities. Resort is really isolated (one hour drive to and from the airport through some of the most dreadful living conditions you will ever see) Check in is 3 pm, check out is 11 am. No flexibility so plan accordingly The region is basically a desert so there is little else to do other than resort it The town of Cabo is awful unless you like the ghetto, T-shirts, hats, and pharmaceuticals. It was warm in January. The heat must be unbearable April to November Cannot go in the ocean —far too dangerous All inclusive is actually quite expensive and all inclusive isn’t the case. Some restaurants have additional premium costs. Very loud construction going at night until well past 9 pm on the first and third night we stayed —seriously? I understand the need for maintenance but just shut down the whole resort for two weeks instead. If the elevators work we wouldn’t know. Every one we tried was either out of order or never arrived on call. Get used to using stairs. Room service is hit and miss if you want hot food flip a coin and maybe you’ll get it. Want a hot shower? You’re asking too much. Luke cold is what you get unless you call maintenance to have them fix the broken fixture and even then it never reached past Luke warm. Oh well. Makes going home all the better. ----------- Overall I’d call this a 4 out of 5 star resort. A couple of really annoying facilities things knocks it down slightly to 3.5. However, the constant barrage of timeshare sales is offensive so another full point off. Final score: 2.5 out of 5
