Had a bad experience with the personal including the manager. Also rooms are a lot smaller than what think. You can get way better rooms just down the street and with better service.
Clean Welcoming and Full of Charm

We had a great stay and truly enjoyed this hidden gem. The recent renovation gives the hotel a fresh feel while still keeping the charm that makes it special. The rooms are small but adorable and perfectly comfortable for two people. The bathroom was surprisingly large for a NYC hotel and had plenty of vanity space, which was a huge plus. The room itself was very clean, cozy, and well maintained. The hotel feels welcoming from the moment you walk in. The lobby is beautiful, and the entire staff was friendly and attentive. Jose the doorman deserves special recognition. He was incredibly reassuring and helpful, and his kindness truly stood out and made our stay even better. Because this is a city location, you will hear normal street noise like sirens and horns. That is just part of city life. We used a sound machine and found that it helped a lot, and choosing a higher floor may also make a difference. I would definitely recommend bringing a sound machine if you are a light sleeper. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and overall the hotel felt clean, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. I loved the charm it has and would happily stay here again.
Grubby Liittle Hole

Very disappointed with this hotel. On arrival the room can only be described as grubby. There was a wooden encasement around the bed but inside the perimeter there was all sorts of rubbish like pens , plastic forks etc . There was a layer of dust on the pictures . The iron was faulty and the coffee machine was not working . We immediately complained and they cleaned the perimeter of the bed and replaced the iron but the coffee machine was out of use for the duration of the stay. The room itself was tiny and dark and I certainly would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Honest Review....

I stayed there for a few days on business. There are a lot of great reviews, so I wanted to set expectations. ... The pros: - convenient location to midtown -staff is very friendly and responsive The cons: -room very loud from what seems to be the heater -the bed was very soft/not particularly comfortable. It was actually a murphy bed that was pulled down, but not a good quality mattress. -there was hardly any lighting in the room other than in the bathroom; very dark -shower curtain was stained on the inside -faucet in tub was still going when you push the lever for the shower to work. I learned to jiggle it and that made most of the water stop coming out of the tub faucet. -when I arrived, the tissues were soaking wet, including the box. I called and they brought a new one right away
A Wonderful Welcome to NYC

What a beautiful hotel, filled with wonderful friendly staff. Everyone was so helpful and made us feel welcome. The room was spotless, and everything was in good working order. Great location, a little away from the noise of Times Square, but close enough to walk to the major attractions. A big thank you to Westgate for making our trip to NYC so great
