This hotel was a fantastic hotel. The bar area is lovely and the staff are so hard working. They help you whenever they can. Some tasty breakfasts with great company. The beds were really comfy and the location was excellent.

The Westgate is a lovely hotel and a great choice for anyone visiting New York City. Having been to New York before, I knew how important a good location is, and being just a five-minute walk from Grand Central Terminal made getting around the city incredibly easy. I took my girlfriend on her first trip to New York, and the hotel really helped make the experience special. Our room was cleaned every day, and all of the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. I genuinely couldn’t fault the place. As a bonus for Spider-Man fans, the hotel is right next to the building used as Norman Osborn’s (the Green Goblin’s) residence in the movies, which was a nice surprise. I would happily stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to NYC.

We were allowed to check in early but that's all that was good. Our rooms floor is dirty, our room has only one light by the bed so it's dark. Our view is of a alley or something, our shower has brown stains on the wall, our toilet paper dispenser is broken, we can hear everything our neighbors say, even just coughing, and our bed isn't very comfortable. Elevators are scary shaking and don't appear safe. Ice machine is 3 floor away and there's no restaurant as advertised. For the money this is not what I expected as an owner at Westgate. I have no chairs or night stand so my wife and I just sat on the bed. Finally got the front desk to send staff person to check light switch but it didn't work so he brought a lamp from another room.

I was shocked by how uncomfortable my room was and how my room and the gym weren’t well cleaned. In addition the service was poor.

I am happy to give an excellent review to the Westgate New York Grand Central Station Hotel, with a specific shout out to Kevin at the front desk. We needed a hotel near the U.N. and booked at the Westgate. It is our first time here. We took an overnight/red eye flight from Los Angeles and arrived very early Sunday morning. Too early to check in. The Westgate staff were extremely nice. They checked our bags, directed us to bathrooms, and had a nice lobby. We got cleaned up, went out for a few hours and came back around 1:00. The room we had booked was not ready yet. (We were still earlier than the normal check in time.) Kevin, seeing how tired my daughter and I were (the overnight flight) upgraded our room, got is in immediately, and made sure we were comfortable. This was a big deal to my daughter and I because we were so tired from the overnight flight and very little sleep. We really appreciated Kevin's kindness. The hotel is very nice. The room is excellent, comfortable, and with a magnificent view of the city. The staff is very professional and the hotel has style. Thank you very much.
