Our Favorite Family Hotel in the Area

We spent the 3 days before Thanksgiving at the Omni and had a great time. We've stayed many times and this time were given room 1412, a first floor room that faced the lazy river and pool. It was a free upgrade and the kids were very happy. The weather wasn't too bad for late November - temps were in the 70's before the sun began to set over the mountains around 4:30 pm. The pools were heated and somewhat crowded but nothing too bad. The hotel had a Christmas tree in the main lobby and had events for the kids scheduled every day. This hotel is perfect for families and ours loved it as usual!
Overpriced and uncomfortable

The bed was awful. The bathtub porcelain was in dire need of repair. I was absolutely shocked at the poor accommodations for such an exorbitant price.
Omni cuts corners on stupid marginal costs

This hotel takes really stupid shortcuts: 1. The TVs are locked into “energy efficient mode.” The picture looks terrible and all the settings are disabled so you cannot fix it. Imagine a 1990’s laptop. That’s their TV screen. 2. Maintenance basically does not exist. The bathroom exhaust fan was packed with dust and completely clogged. I called the front desk. They did nothing. 3. Housekeeping missed multiple services. I tried calling the front desk again. They did nothing. The whole operation feels like it is built on cutting corners, deferring maintenance, and providing the minimum level of service they think they can get away with. It is Omni, so my expectations are not high, but even then it is ridiculous how much they cheap out on the basics.
Bugs in the room

Bugs. I am literally covered with bug bites. The first room they put me in smelled so bad I immediately asked to change rooms. New room and I am absolutely covered in bug bites. I'm praying they're flea bites, but I don't know. Worst hotel stay ever.
Very happy with the property

The grounds of the property are very nice. The rooms aren't in awesome shape the carpet and the very odd placement of the thermostat being in the bathroom to control the room which made the room extremely cold every time you got out of the shower, as the air conditioning was trying to compensate for the heat in the bathroom. They are opening two new restaurants the Blue Ember restaurant that they had had great food and service without door seating in great views. We did a surprise party for one of the guests and the hotel did a very nice job of recognizing that the staff were amazing and very helpful.
