Caution- this is the neighborhood pool for locals!

Nic K (USA) on Jul 25, 2026

Location is amazing, staff was incredible. Check in process was quite possibly the best I’ve ever experienced. Lunch at Desert Pearl was fantastic. Then, my family went to the pool (the primary reason for staying at the Omni property over the nearby Ritz) only to find it overrun with locals. After asking some of them about the busyness, I learned of resortpass.com. This site lets locals buy day passes, which come with massive discounts that paying resort guests don’t receive. They show up en masse with coolers packed for the day. I expressed my disappointment to hotel management and a small accommodation to parking fee and resort fee was made but it was too late, very disappointing.

Weekend Trip in Ranch Mirage

rdhunt316 on Jul 20, 2026

My family had a great time staying at the Omni in Rancho Mirage. The resort exceeded our expectations in everyway. Rooms were very clean and very quiet. The food and beverage options were great, and there were many activity options around the resort. We had never stayed at a resort like this, but have plans to do so again in the future.

Gang tattoos and Cigarettes

JT Y on Jul 19, 2026

Our stay was extremely disappointing. First, there was a guest in the pool area with a large swastika tattoo on his neck, and a large curse work (that I am not even allowed to include in this review!) tattooed prominently across his back, and numerous other tattoos that appeared to be gang-related. Seeing someone displaying symbols and language like this completely changed the atmosphere of what was supposed to be a relaxing day by the pool. It made my wife and me feel very uncomfortable, and we couldn’t help but think about the many families and children also exposed to these offensive displays. What made the situation even more concerning was that hotel staff were actively serving this guest in the pool area. Whether or not the hotel has the authority to restrict a guest based on their tattoos, the lack of any visible response left us feeling that management was comfortable allowing this environment to exist. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the only issue during our stay. The pool area was frequently affected by the smell of cigarette smoke, which felt like a cheap casino and our room was adjacent to a service room where employees took breaks. We could clearly hear videos, music, and conversations coming through the wall, making it difficult to relax. Because of these experiences, we will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this hotel to others.

A family friendly warm weather must stay

Andrea B (Calabasas, California) on Jul 19, 2026

We loved the pools, grounds, golf and food. The lazy river was the best! We had a blast with the kids at the pool. The food and staff was great!

Great Family Friendly Resort

Amazing resort for families with children. The water slides, lazy river and multiple pools were a hit with our kids. Clean resort with amazing service.
