Great pools, blah food + service

Shankar G on Dec 05, 2025

Beautiful property, great pools for the kids, solid rooms with good-sized bedrooms and sitting rooms for the suites. The suite we stayed at had only one bathroom, which isn't ideal, but managable. A pleasant stay overall. The worst point was the food and food service. The food itself is very mid--Sysco truck fare. Whatever you order, prepare to be a little disappointed. The service was also a little limp -- at the restaurant, courses arrive either too early or too late, with plates stacking up and then failing to be cleared. In the room, they do service with takeout containers instead of tableware. The staff is friendly and polite but rushed -- they won't do anything like clear old room service containers unless you make a point of asking them.

Beware

Zach Z on Dec 04, 2025

Lovely property esp for families. However, someone went in our room and stole money from purses and wallets (hidden and not lying out). Not helpful in providing information on who entered the room. Beware because several other reviews mention this.

Best Birthday at a hotel ever!

Donna H on Dec 03, 2025

I had the most amazing experience! I went to celebrate my birthday over thanksgiving and I was greeted with such warmth and got some pleasant surprises to help celebrate my birthday at the resort. I was checked in by Alexis and she was so kind in explaining where everything was located and also gave us a small room credit to get a celebratory treat at at resort. One of the life guards saw my birthday head band at the pool and I got a celabratory drink. The rooms were clean and I enjoyed the lazy river a lot. I would highly recommend coming here with friends and family! Lots of children around and it was so nice!

Great family-friendly resort

Seaside60951776062 on Dec 02, 2025

Great family-friendly resort with a wonderful lazy river and pool areas. The on-site tennis and golf facilities are excellent, and the service and restaurants are top-notch. Plenty of dining and shopping options nearby as well

My direct feedback.

Mark A (Alexandria, Virginia, United States) on Nov 30, 2025

The Double Date Buffet was ridiculous. $50/person for old food, a terrible atmosphere, and it felt like it was an afterthought to charge guests, a way to feed the staff. The only saving grace was that the waiter was at least trying to make the most out of it. A revolving door of staff coming to get plates, it certainly didn't feel like an Omni experience. We opted to walk across the street for the remainder of our meals. Much better food, and half the price. The pool was not clean, and there was just food left for hours, as staff walked around, cups sitting by the poolside, long forgotten. Towels piled up in chairs, never touched or removed. There needs to be a much better job at structured clearing of discarded towels and food items. I think the intent was for guests to remove their own food, but when someone is taking orders and expecting tips, the mutual understanding is that they would clear the space as well. This attracted flies and didn't provide a clear place to find seats together, as there was no rhyme or reason to the arrangement. It was gross. The constant nickel-and-diming for kids' activities also cheapened everything. It's not the cost. It's the entire oh, yet another charge. Overall, this didn't feel like a resort. It felt like a motel, trying to impersonate a resort. The car charging is also an issue. The valet apparently controls the Tesla chargers, but not the others? So we need to guess if a charger is available? However, there are no time limits, nor a place to be notified. The valet was quite unhelpful, which kind of defeats the purpose of a valet. Our room had dust piled up around the HVAC area, and the bathroom lights were poorly maintained in several areas, making it feel like it was well beyond its prime. The shower head would constantly fall 'down', so it couldn't be aimed outward. The bathroom sliding door constantly came off the rails, often requiring 'rescue' for the person inside, as they couldn't budge the door. Your front desk was very friendly, as were the service staff from the rooms. Overall, this experience sucked - especially at a brand like Omni.
