This is not a four star hotel. Extremely overpriced for what it is.
I don’t typically stay at “family friendly” resorts but wanted my son to have fun and enjoy a water slide and lazy river. Although he enjoyed the pool area, the adults hated everything about this place.
Crowded, loud, rooms needing renovations, poor food, disappointing spa and over priced.
I will not be retuning even if the rates were half what we paid.

This is my third day staying at Omni Las Palmas and the adult pool has been filthy all three days. Haven’t been able to use it. I told the manager and he barely acknowledged it and did not apologize. Nothing has been done, I would not recommend anyone stay here.
Still Our Favorite Hotel/Resort in the Area
(Los Angeles, California)

My family (myself, wife, and our 9 year old and 5 year old daughters) stayed here for a 3 day weekend from June 18-20. We arrived a few hours early on Saturday around 2 PM and were able to check in. We were given room 626 which was a great location in the 600 building and we were between the lobby/restaurant and the main pool area which was perfect for us.
We've stayed here a few times already and have always loved this hotel. The room was had a king bed with a pull out couch for our daughters and had a patio that overlooked the fairway. While we were there the hotel used the lawn for a kids bounce house/waterslide area which both of my girls loved. It's been a few years since we've visited and it's exactly how we remembered.
Our favorite part of the hotel is Splashtopia - the lazy river/waterslide/pool area. We went to the pools every day and even though it was very crowded it was never overwhelming. The only real hiccup was the poolside movie on Sunday night - my girls were enjoying watching Finding Nemo until it was abruptly stopped at 9 pm with only a few minutes left and we were told: "The pool area is closed come back tomorrow." A little weird to have an unforced error like this as the hotel has hosted these movies as long as we've been coming here years ago and should know when to start their movies. My 5 year old still asks what happened with Nemo...
We were there for father's day weekend and didn't have reservations for the restaurant on-site so we made the short walk across the street to the River - we ate at the PF Chang's which was really good. We also tried a Mexican-American restaurant named Bobby's Botina's which left a lot to be desired. A quesadilla with only mozzarella cheese? What planet is this? Next time we'll wait for either Yard House or Cheesecake Factory.
Overall we had a great 3 day weekend and we can't wait until our next visit. It's the best hotel in the area we've found to beat the heat.
Don’t be fooled!

Check-in was great. Our room was ready. We were given ice cream and bottled water. We were told to come back to the front desk anytime as they are complimentary. Not so. The following day when my husband went to request the ice cream a rude tall dark haired woman with glasses, treated my husband like he was begging for something we were not entitled to. She was unfriendly and condescending. We had reservations for dinner that night at the restaurant. In spite of the lovely dining room we were seated in the auxiliary section with a bunch of noisy children. We were doubled charged for the iced tea and the service was just ok. The following day we had a cabana reservation. We inquired as to where the upscale cabanas were that are shown on the hotel’s website and TripAdvisor. We were told they are non-existent. The cabanas they do have are nothing more than a couple of pool chairs under a canopy. I said that’s false advertising and the pool attendant agreed. He said I should complain and receive a rebate or something because the hotel has money. I cancelled the cabana and after I showed the female attendant the pictures I had downloaded from the website and TripAdvisor of the cabana we were led to believe we had reserved, she promised a full refund. Not so. I was charged for the cabana. At check-out upon showing the desk clerk an email that promised we would not be charged she did adjust the bill. We went to the adult pool, which is lovely if you arrive early enough to get chairs in the shade. The next 2 days we spent at the spa pool. The $45 per day per person spa pass is totally worth it. I scheduled a massage with Alex and a facial with Randall. Truly the best service I have ever received. I have been getting massages and facials for years. Theirs were top notch. The spa is quiet and beautiful. All of spa employees are super friendly. Our luxury suite was very nice and clean. Housekeeping was daily and did a good job. The walls are paper thin! We could hear total conversations and kiddos screaming at times above and beside our suite. The food is outstanding. The pool service was efficient. We opted to pick up dinner at the Palms Cafe 2 nights. The young fellow at the counter was outstanding! He was funny and very helpful. Besides everyone at the spa our favorite employees were Manny and Simon who are the servers for the adult and spa pools. The resort is pricey but no more so than suites we have stayed in when we visit San Diego, San Francisco, Las Vegas and DisneyWorld. A big plus is the free parking right next to the rooms. Super convenient! However, the resort is huge so be prepared to walk a lot.

Lovely architecture and landscaping. Sprawling villa type resort on a golf course. Large pool with lazy river. Spa, conference space. Blu Ember was our favorite restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating. Fresh American menu. Fire pits gardens make it a great gathering spot. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.
Very clean. Staff very friendly.
