Great value

Very nice hotel for a two night stay and good location. Parking easy. Carpet needs to be replaced in halls and room, but otherwise king suite room was great and had everything we needed. Pool area, although not overly large, was well kept along with the property grounds. Can see they take great pride in the property. Breakfast was better than expected and plenty of hot options. Overall a great value and will likely stay here again.

We anticipated an updated and cleaner hotel for the price than we received. Granted, it was spring break for many people, but the cost seemed high in relation to the condition of the hotel. The bathroom was dark and a little moldy, and the carpet was dirty. The pool area is nice, but again the patio areas need updating. All in all, only an average hotel stay.
A Warning!

Well, if you want to spend some time living in the 90's this is your place! The room decor and amenities will take you back in time! The rooms are neatly decorated in a wonderful vision of a "scratch and dent" nightmare! Skip the free mediocre and unhealthy breakfast and venture around the block for better options. This Sonesta property is in serious need of major update. Inside and out. But....if you're looking for a blast from the distant past, with all the broken lamps, mildew smells, and cracked walls, this is your place!!
We stayed here for four nights before our Northern Arizona adventure

We were supposed to stay with friends in Scottsdale, but one of them got COVID, so we ended up staying here for four days before hading up to Sedona. The breakfast people are fabulous and the place was packed the days we stayed there right after the Super Bowl. We didn't get our room cleaned, just exchanged our towels as the place was spacious and clean. We used the kitchen a few times. The pool was nice, ya gotta move around cause that sun is hot even in February. The birds are a pain at breakfast and get into things if you don't watch. Front desk staff was super nice and professional and accommodated us on adding extra nights at the same price even though they only had a couple rooms left. The place seemed to be full of older couples, but everywhere in Phoenix is that in the winter time due to the snowbirds. Parking is easy , we faced the back of the Gainey Mall shops, but we didn't spend much time in the room. Rooms are a LITTLE dated, but not too noticeable.
