First time to PV and we stayed at the Buena Vista Grand Hotel, a family friendly resort in the city area. Pros: Hotel was nice, very clean, staff is super nice and definitely the shining star of the resort for sure. I think we stayed in a recently renovated room and it was nice & clean, modern style with a great balcony. Location is great, easy to walk to Malecon or Romantic Zone if you wish and I recommend doing so as it was one of my favorite days. Cons: While we only ate at the Sunset restaurant once, it was not good and unfortunately for the 17 of us, we all agreed that the food was bland, very bland. Pool was overcrowded, not enough pool chairs, and truly overall is the dirtiest pool water I've ever encountered. I recommend the beach for sunning and swimming, not the pools. Please know the beach is covered in rocks until you get to the water, so you'll need shoes. Overall, we made the best of it and ate at some great restaurants in the area and hit up a few beach bars as well. I personally would not stay here again because I would prefer an adults only resort, but if you have family or large groups this might be a good choice for you.

From the moment we arrived, Nolbeto greeted us with a friendly smile and went above and beyond our stay was relaxing! Amazing service! Thank you! He was attentive and willing to help with any request, He took care of everything and helped us the hotel’s amenities.

I am a vegetarian and they are not able to do anyting special for us. We were to book the award winning Seafood dinner restaurant (1 of 3),in the morning of and adviced them that we were vegetarian. They promptly seated us and the day was hot and moist. As we were speaking to the waiter we come find that we can get chinese noodles for appetizer and sphagetti for dinner. I told them to make it tasty -what they can do. It was the most tasteless food I have ever had. I wanted to waitfor the dinner but it was too hot and I left after the appertizer. Went to the Buffet and ate there. When we came out there were 2 families that were outside who wished that they would have left too when we did. They too were disgusted with the food and its blandness. I have been to 2 other resorts in PVR and they both were majestic compared to this one.

If your family is over 4 members I would skip this place. Also if you are booking any tours in the morning, then just eat breakfast somewhere else they never open right at 7:30a.m plus they are super strict on their service. If you are there to have an event you have to triple check on your reservation. There is not much of variety on food either. They pick and choose who to give a great service and who to ignore

We really enjoyed our 5 night stay. All of the staff in the lobby/front desk area were fantastically kind and helpful. Tatiana especially went out of her way to ensure we were happy. Our room was very nice with a gorgeous view of the pool and beach. The food was great - especially the buffet breakfast. The Sunset restaurant dinner had a gorgeous and romantic setting. (I would like to see more Mexican food offerings- tacos enchiladas etc.) The pool area was incredible. The staff worked together very well. They were always pleasant and had great attitudes. The food and drink options were abundant. We took advantage of the morning bike ride and the ceramics painting. The location was so convenient. Many food/ shopping/ scenic/ and touring options within walking distance. It was a memorable vacation that will bring us unending happy memories.
