Great family vacation spot

martinapage (108 Mile Ranch, Canada) on Jan 09, 2026

For the age of this property, it is quite impressive. Staff were working on small upkeep projects here and there throughout the stay. Not in an invasive way, just in obviously attentive and keen to upkeep the resort. Staff we extremely friendly and always said, Buenos días, hola, etc. I go to Mexico to practice Spanish, but there were many Staff that spoke English exceptionally well. Helpful for those too scared or unwilling to try communicating in the language of the country. A friend left a note in English for the housekeeping staff and was shocked when they didn't understand what they wrote to request. I think it is important to remember that we are visiting a Spanish speaking country and be respectful as visitors. I think it was easy to forget because there were so many proficient in the English language. There was excellent wifi and we can access Google translate so easily. The forest in the centre was incredible with mature trees. An armadillo made an appearance for my teens. Pretty cool. Different birds and beautiful grounds. It is absolutely worth paying for a very comfortable and gorgeous vacation spot. It is an hour outside of Puerto Vallarta, in Nayarit, but the staff can get you a taxi or shuttle quite easily for about $60 USD. We went into Puerto Vallarta to go to a Bean to Bar chocolate making class at the Chocolate Museum. That was the only time we left the resort. It really was too beautiful to consider leaving on a short 7 night stay. Not too fancy, just beautifully kept and comfortable. They stock your fridge with a water and can of soda pop for each person for free everyday. Nice to enjoy in the room or to take while you are walking down the beach. Loved all of it!

Dissatisfied stay

tinayucool (Ogden, Utah) on Jan 07, 2026

Sound proof in room was terrible. Felt like sleeping next to a club the first night. Changed room next day and hot water was out for two days. In room phone was not working the fourth day. It says they are a five star hotel but it was a joke to me. Room amenities are not consistent. The cheaper rooms provide robe and slippers and snacks but the more expensive rooms had none.

Wedding & Vacation

Meander552352 on Jan 05, 2026

Got married here and everything was very well organized and beautiful. The staff were there the whole time helping out. Getting served at my wedding with food and drinks all night! The food was amazing at the buffet, all the restaurants! The pickleball/basketball court was fun. I definitely recommend, had a blast.

Beautiful but Disappointing

Jennifer S on Jan 04, 2026

While the Grand Palladium in Puerto Vallarta is on a beautiful beach with nice pools there were several things that dampened our enthusiasm. It was cumbersome using their app to make dinner reservations for multiple rooms, check in had us standing in line for more than thirty minutes, the food was ok and they seemed to lack wait staff (no service on the beach or at the adult pool unless you went to the bar), there were small repairs needed in each of our three rooms, and they wanted an extra $150 per person to be part of the New Year’s party on the beach! Also it is not an easy place to navigate if you are not able-bodied as there are lots of stairs and steep inclines on the walkways.

Great resort

daneanw (Coaldale, Canada) on Jan 02, 2026

Overall this was a great resort. Lots of amenities, great food & drinks, beach is small due to rocks but nice and the rock pool they have for the little ones was great. It is a bit out of the way from accessing La Cruz, Bucerias or Puerto Vallarta (45 minutes from airport) but you can take a bus, get an uber or rent a cab easily. Some struggles with checkin and service but other than that the 32 family members ranging in age from 1-70 that went had a great time.
