Back again to bahia principe luxury booganville. Not much has changed but that ain't a bad thing. Service in resturants and a la carte still top notch as is quality of food and drink.We moved between quiet and busy adult only pools and both had their own unique qualities. Beach area.....still not the greatest looking sea(river inlet nearby)but perfectly acceptable for a day in the sun. Night entertainment......these guys try there best....lively enough. Room.....bahia is always top drawer in this field...minbar restocked daily....room turned and freshened daily too. Bar staff and waiters and waitresses...as always friendly joyfull and eager to please. As stated at start of review not much changed and thank goodness. Being BLACK Bahia members entitles free room upgrade....unfortunatly the upgrade did not meet our expectations however this was resolved very quickly and efficiently by the Principe Concierge team.

My stay at the Bahia Principe Luxury Bouganville in the Dominican Republic was overall very enjoyable. The food was excellent, with a good variety and quality throughout the stay. The hotel grounds were impeccably clean, and the staff did a great job maintaining the property. The activities offered on-site were fun and well-organized, perfect for those who enjoy relaxing at the resort. That said, this resort is ideal for travelers looking to stay on the property and enjoy a calm, laid-back vacation. If you’re someone like me who enjoys going off-resort to explore local neighborhoods and see how locals live, this may not be the easiest place to do so. The closest city, San Pedro de Macorís, is about a 20-minute drive, but there are no easy or affordable transportation options unless you rent a car or take a relatively expensive taxi. We chose to rent a car, and while driving in the Dominican Republic can be challenging for some, I was fine with it, as I’ve driven in other countries before. One thing to note: we traveled in May 2025, which appears to be part of the rainy season. Due to heavy rains, rivers carried debris into the ocean, and the beach water was brown, making snorkeling impossible during our stay. In summary, a great resort for relaxing, with excellent food, cleanliness, and fun activities, but less ideal for travelers wanting to explore local life easily.

I been staying here for 11 nights,there are 2 pools one relaxing and 1 more lively we spent our time around the lively pool where there were games and music. The entertainment team worked none stop and really friendly. Fire alarm in block 57 kept going off at night but when I phoned reception they came and sorted it. Best restaurants was the Italian but they were all excellent. all the shops on site seem expensive. I know people have put reviews on about things but I felt very safe and nothing went missing. Don't expect blue sea on the site apparently when it rains the river flows in to the sea which makes it look dirty. I also came fory 50th birthday, on my birthday the maid put petals all on my bed and I had a banner put on my door strawberry and wine.I've had a lovely vacation hope this review helps anyone who has read the bad one's.

The resort and the accommodation was perfect. Lovely rooms , very spacious and extremely clean . The resort was beautiful and the gardens lovely.All the staff were really friendly and were always there to help. Service was extremely good. Food was excellent so much to choose from. Restaurants were very good .Air conditioner work well in room and it was nice to go back to the room to cool down . We had a truly perfect holiday

The whole experience from reception,room,bars,restaurants,buffet,pool area,beach and beach bar all staff, from reaction it’s to the gardeners, everything in our opinion was just wonderful nothing to much trouble had a lovely holiday thank you
