Love every minute of my stay. Caroline and the entertainment team were excellent!! 10/10 They worked so hard so keep everyone entertained. The staff were all so attentive and accommodating. I had an issue with my room they did not hesitate to change it I've stayed in the Bahia in Jamaica and Dominican Republic and I would definitely recommend.

Beautiful Bouganville

P5151IXmichaelp on Jul 20, 2026

Just had two wonderful weeks in the Bouganville which is set in stunning grounds . We had a lovely deluxe suite with two double 4 poster beds which were kept immaculately clean daily . We spent all our holiday by the quiet pool which I have to say was perfect absolutely loved every second there. The only let down for us on this trip was the food, breakfast buffet was ok but evening buffet was very poor . The specialised restaurants are “0k” but nothing really special with the Asian definitely the best but that’s just our taste. Overall a fab two weeks, and if the hotel improved the cuisine this would be 5*

Beautiful Grounds and Great Service, But Not the Right Fit for a Two-Week Stay!

sarah_bella91 (Montreal, Canada) on Jul 18, 2026

My mom (60s) and I (30s) recently spent two weeks (July 3–17) at the Bahia Principe Luxury Bouganville. Overall, we would rate the resort a 7/10. It’s a clean, well-maintained property, but it definitely has its pros and cons depending on what kind of vacation you are looking for. The Highlights: The grounds are immaculate, truly a 10/10 for cleanliness and landscaping. We also loved that you don’t have to wake up at dawn to fight for a sunbed; pool and beach loungers were always available. If you want a relaxing day, the "Quiet Pool" is perfect. A massive shoutout to the drink service staff at the pools. They were, without a doubt, the best we have ever experienced! Room & Amenities: We stayed in block 53 (Room 53203). Location-wise, it’s perfect—right in the middle of everything. However, be aware there are no elevators. I had requested a lower floor for my mom’s mobility, but we were placed on the 3rd floor. We did have a minor water leak and a pest issue, but I must credit the front desk; they were responsive and resolved everything while we were out on an excursion. Food & Drink: This was a mixed bag (5/10). The buffet variety is good, but the food was consistently lukewarm. Takara was our favorite—the teppanyaki was solid and served hot. The Don Pablo Gourmet is stunningly beautiful with top-tier service, though the menu wasn't to our personal taste. Unfortunately, the cocktails were overly sugary, and the pool-side snack bar (junk food focus) was a bit underwhelming. The Vibe: If you are looking for high-energy nightlife, this might feel quiet. The evening entertainment is VERY low-key, and most guests (us included) found ourselves heading to bed by 9:00 PM. The exception was the White Beach Party with the fire show, which was a highlight! Also, note that the beach itself isn't the best for swimming (murky water/jellyfish), so plan your trips accordingly. Bottom Line: We felt two weeks was too long for this property; 4–5 nights would be the sweet spot. It wasn’t a "bad" stay, but it ultimately wasn’t the right fit for us.

Lotus Eaters Paradise

The bald guy a (England) on Jul 17, 2026

My wife and I travelled with TUI and stayed 14 days at the hotel. The stay was excellent the staff were very attentive, the food in the buffet was excellent, and the staff looked after us very well, the food in the a l carte resturants was generally good. The rooms and housekeeping staff were excellent. The reception and guest services staff looked after our every need, and the bar staff were really on the ball. The senior management were visible and approachable and helped out when asked. For the record I swam in the sea a number of times and lived long enough to write this review, the sea was cloudy, I saw no jellyfish, sharks or other dangerous marine creatures. But it was warm and I did see other bathers in the water and did not see anybody in difficulties or body bags. You make your choice and enjoy (or not) We went out of the hotel and visited local towns, as long as you take normal precautions then it is safe, this was very enlightening, hence the Lotus Eaters title. Room Tip If you want a quiet room overlooking the jungle on the shady side of the then 53209 is a good choice. Food Tip Book the alcarte resturants early, we had no problems booking but we did stay for 14 days. Trip Tip Leave Paradise for a few hours talk to the locals spend some money on the local economy. Overall we have an excellent, positive and enjoyable stay and we will probably return.
