Bahia Principe Luxury Bouganville is an absolutely outstanding 5 star hotel in beautiful surroundings, a lovely well kept beach with beautiful sand and palm trees. The sea could be bluer for the Caribbean but it’s still beautiful. The staff are excellent and I need to call out a few who are outstanding. The bar staff at the quiet pool are simply outstanding especially Marien, she is a true star and a credit to Bahia Principe. Mariel Sanchez at reception also. I had to debate late checkout with him and he listened to my issue and explanation and he worked out a compromised solution for me, excellent customer service. We have been to the Bouganville 5 times and we will definitely be going again. If you are thinking of trying it out do so, you will not be disapointed.

The employees at the resort are phenomenal i wish I could remember all their names, Indira and Maria from guest service are amazing, Jose from the buffet restaurant and everyone was AMAZING, the level of friendliness and attention to detail was beyond amazing, I will definitely be back

Fantastic resort, great staff, service, food and drink. Always very clean and abundance of food and alcohol. Rooms were tired but I didn't intend travelling to the sun to spend time in my room other than sleep. People to manage there expectations for the price paid it was fantastic

We spent a week here after a cruise with TUI from 31st December, on arrival was greeted with welcome drinks and check in process was easy and well organised. The hotel is lovely and the grounds are well kept and beautiful, our room was a bit tired but overall it was very clean only problem was the shower seemed to be lukewarm but due to being so hot it wasn’t much of a problem and seemed to get warmer as the week went on. Plenty of towels provided everyday and loved the all inclusive 24hr room service. The entertainment was good and the staff are brilliant, very friendly and cannot do enough for you. The food overall was ok, always something to eat but i did find the meat was always on the rarer side and i did notice a few times chicken and pork seemed very pink so i would avoid meat mostly, the pools were fantastic and overall we had a great stay, i would definitely come back.

Bahia Principe Bougainville review, nov24-dec8'24 4.3 star resort, book restaurants early. 5 star rating for room size, comfy bed, outdoor swim pools, gardens, aqua-fit class, fire party on beach, bubble party in pool, all staff are always happy and try very hard to please you and are extremely fast and attentive, fast resolution of room complaints, food and service at Don Pablo and Takara restaurants. 4 star rating for large beautiful room, breakfast buffet, Italian and grill restaurants, public washrooms, beach, 1st room (upon checkin bathroom on 1st floor not cleaned properly so we got another room on 2nd floor), 2nd room multiple complaints (no body wash, no Kleenex, broken fridge door, stuck draws, dirty cups, missing blanket). 3 star rating for (buffet beside beach (dry chicken or pork, frequently ice cream was too soft and melted), stretching class, gym). 2 star rating for (condition of Hobie wave cat, condition of kayaks, staff at boat centre are sometimes addicted/ glued to their cell phone, brown ocean color). Resort was beautiful overall. No-see-um tiny bugs were sometimes annoying any time of day, From nov 24 to Dec 8, first 3 days were hot muggy and cloudy, most other days were hot and sunny. Book restaurants using Bahia app 1 day or more before your trip or you may not be able to get reservations. Once we were there we found unless you eat at 9:30pm you may not get a dinner reservation for the week you're there. When you arrive book Hobie wave cat at least 1 day in advance, or you may not get out. I was able to sail almost every day. They only had 1 Hobie wave cat, so one person we spoke too could not get a reservation during their stay. The cat is in bad shape with multiple large tears on sail, multiple small and medium tears on trampoline, signs of a crushed pontoon, rescue boat not always available). Treat tap water as poison and you will help ensure you don't get sick. I and someone else we spoke to had gastrointestinal pain for 2 days and and some discomfort for another 3 days.
