The buffet was the best choice for food on site. The restaurants were not worth it. The menus didn't all make sense. We tried the Asian restaurant and it was ok. We walked out of the Don Pablo restaurant and was followed by a staff member who reprimanded us for not having looked up their menu before making the reservation. To make reservations they wanted you to use their app or the kiosk in the main lobby. Neither worked our entire stay and the concierge wasn't much help. When I checked in, there was no toilet tissue and the tub was dirty. When I called for room service to clean it, they sucked their teeth and didn't show until after dark. The pool area was nice but the drinks were inconsistent. I would say the most helpful staff members were the bellhops and the guy that sets up the excursions.

Our housekeeper Teany was fantastic, everything is our room was well done. She did not ever forget to give us water or coffee etc. Towels were always replaced with fresh ones everyday, floor was mopped and the bathroom was always up to standard. Thank you for a great job and your hard work.

The male front Desk Manager was rude and condescending while informing me that one of my two room requests for 2 twin beds could not be accommodated. He smugly suggested that my two adult daughters could sleep together in the King bed to make up for the hotels failure to provide the beds after many months of email exchanges between me and his department. He has no role in determining any guests sleeping arrangements. He is not up to the job. Also, a female beach bartender dropped a plastic top in the blender containing my drink, then dug her filthy hands into the drink to fish it out, then attempted to serve it to me, how disgusting!

After a loosing our paid- in-full with Viator Private Transfer(our plane departure delayed and they never picked us up :( and said no refund), we then started an an EXCELLENT week with Luxury Bouganville. Loved the beach area, so spacious! 3 pools to cool off and enjoy our variety of drinks! Entertainment staff super social but not annoying. Lots to do for adults only activities. The foods was so good! The Japanese and Brazilian a la carte restaurants were fantastic. For the price, great value for a great resort. Rooms spacious and a little dated but the grounds were 10+ and service 10+
