Great family resort

camille o on Apr 26, 2024

This is a great place to go with the kids! There is an amazing playing area. Alexandra the lady sitting the kids was awesome. It’s very calm, safe, family oriented and the staff always nice and helpful. It’s my second time and I’m very pleased. I strongly recommend this resort for families or people looking for a relax holiday.

Great resort for family

Mathieu S on Apr 26, 2024

Great resort for family with kid. It’s quiet and stress free. There’s a lot of acitivities for kid with a kid room with toys, TV and Alexandra was there to look after the kids while the parents can go for a walk. Food at the buffet and restaurant is great. The service of all the staff is fantastic.

Thank you Caribe Deluxe Princess

summercsnrs (Allen, Texas) on Apr 25, 2024

I have always taken cruises, never stayed at a resort and I am so happy my husband and I chose Princess Caribe Deluxe. This resort is extremely clean and well maintained, my hats off to the staff. There was always someone cleaning, or keeping up with the grounds. I felt incredibly safe and RELAXED. They have a trolly that will take you to and from the rooms from the lobby, but I honestly preferred the 10 min walk, it was especially beautiful and tranquil at night. The buffet is delicious, my husband and I have decided that our next visit we will have the buffet for dinner, and platinum club for lunch. We enjoyed the views, and our view from our room of the laguna and wildlife there. I was not a fan of most of the restaurants, but they were ok for the experience. The Platinum, Italian, and Dominican restaurants were very good. Being from Texas I like my steak medium rare, they cook the meat way too long, very dry. I wish I could have tried the Nopal restaurant but had a rough deep sea fishing trip and had to cancel our reservation. All of the staff is super nice, the lobby is lively at night with music, we quite enjoyed that. Ice cream and coffee shops also very good. Souveniers at the shop are actually fairly priced so I recommend getting all of your souvenirs there versus anywhere else. The pool was very clean, the staff works very hard, please tip where you can, they absolutely deserve it. There are a lot of discussions over the Platinum package, and if you have the extra cash to purchase this, I believe it is very much worth it! We enjoyed the better quality drinks, the platinum area of the beach, and Platinum bar/restaurant. We also love the convenience of having robes, beach towels, and the fruit basket was very nice. We did not have any problems with our room, the food, or the service, With all my heart, I want to thank the following staff members for making our stay special: Leticia - Platinum and Lobby bar, Augustin and Cepin - Platinum and La Cava Restaurant, Andres and Stephany, Platinum Bar, Dosmil and Eduardo - Sports Bar, David and Fransico - I believe they were at the bar near El Pilon and Tao. Nina - Platinum Concierge, those are just the names that we were familiar with above and beyond service, but everyone was wonderful. Thank you for making our birthday trip special, I am sad to be back home but look forward to our next stay with Caribe Deluxe!

Everything about this resort from day one to our 7th day was excellent.

Eric C on Apr 24, 2024

This is by far the cleanest resort we have stayed at. The rooms are very nice and cleaned every day. Mini fridge restocked with beverages including 2 beer every day. All staff, whether it be the front desk, the bartenders or the maids were extremely helpful and friendly. A huge selection of great food and beverages. Be sure to try their Miami Vice drink. The pools were clean and well maintained although it would be nice if they added a couple of ladders. Overall it was fabulous

A week in Paradise???

Helen B (Hartlepool, United Kingdom) on Apr 24, 2024

I spent one week at this hotel from 16th to 23rd April. I had emailed in advance explaining I was a solo female traveller and requested a room where I would feel safe with a lovely view. I was not disappointed. I was allocated 1265 in Block A which was large, clean and comfortable. It was on the first floor of 3 levels. It overlooked the main pool and was within 2 minutes walk of the beach, buffet restaurant and some of the al a carte restaurants. The pool bar was 1 minute away. Perfect location. Only issue with room was balcony light didn’t work but I never got round to reporting till day 5 and it never did get fixed. Bed was comfortable- think was super king size. There was only one sheet as a cover so I did have to use the blanket in the wardrobe to be warm enough as the air con was quite icy but slept fine. Room serviced every day and plenty of towels provided. Great shower with hot water all the time. Large TV but could only find a couple of news channels in English. Mini bar with soft drinks and beer and always topped up with bottled water. Lots of storage. The hotel grounds and setting are beautiful- the beach is very clean and has plenty of loungers. I walked along the beach past several other hotels and this hotel seemed to have the best stretch of beach as it was the widest. The sea was quite wavy so I stuck to paddling but people were enjoying the waves too. There is a mangrove area between the lobby and the Blocks of rooms with lakes, streams, ponds where all manner of birds seemed to live happily. Also dozens of iguanas - I liked to feed them bananas but you get surrounded quickly??. Also on an evening you could see the turtles attracted to the lights and hear all the “jungle” noises. Very atmospheric?? Every morning the grounds staff feed the birds and they all seemed healthy. There were some stray cats which is a bit upsetting as they are hungry and come into the restaurant looking for food. It would be nice if the hotel fed the cats as well. One of them had a nasty wound on its tail so I worried it would be in pain without getting any veterinary attention. There are 3 pools - all nice with plenty of loungers despite them being reserved early. There were a lot of different bars with big choices of drinks/cocktails - not huge measures but tasted nice. The buffet restaurant looked really nice with a good ambience. The food was okay. I tried the Brazilian, Japanese, Italian and Tex Mex al a cartes. Again okay but have had nicer food in other all inclusive resorts. There was a sports bar serving American fast food and a beach snack bar with a very limited choice. My favourite place to sit and relax was outside the coffee shop with a cup of tea and a nice cake. Comfy padded seats, chilled out music and so peaceful to sit and read a book. There was an ice cream parlour but I didn’t sample it. It only opened at 4pm I believe. In my opinion the hotel was the perfect size, very walkable and for less mobile guests little trolley carts were always around to take you from rooms to restaurant to lobby. There was the usual daytime entertainment but I only tried the aqua gym - didn’t feel particularly encouraged to join in other games. There was a kids aqua park area, mini golf, table tennis, boules and archery. There was ten pin bowling in the sports bar (chargeable). I seemed to miss the 9.30pm show every night due to clashing meal times or being too tired but saw the circus one on my last night which was very good. There was also a band playing in the lobby bar on an evening. The surrounding area didn’t seem too attractive so I only ventured out on trips organised by TUI. I did the Eco Safari trip into the countryside and Higuey to visit the Basilica but due to an ongoing mass we couldn’t go in. There were explanations and demonstrations on cigar making, mamajuana, chocolate etc. Lots of sales pitches but you don’t have to buy. There was a lunch provided in a home farm which was quite nice (as long as you like chicken??). I also did the long day (12 hours) trip to Saona Island. It was ok but a lot of travelling to and from and crowds of tourists. There was a VIP option where you went in a smaller group to a more private stretch of beach but obviously was more money and the trips were not cheap. Finally I went on the half day snorkelling trip which was from 12.30 to 6.30 and my favourite trip. Lots of time to snorkel -hundreds of fish to see, plenty of drinks and snacks and lunch provided with an attentive crew. There was only 16 of us on a huge catamaran so plenty of room to stretch out and relax. Overall I enjoyed my holiday - it would be nice if the hotel offered a solo travellers get together as it can get quite lonely surrounded by couples, families and groups of friends and dining alone is a bit ??.
