Great vacation

alexandradL8037QB on Jun 04, 2024

We stayed at the resort from May 13 to May 27th. We loved our vacation and going to be back for sure. We stayed in the room 81202. Second floor with windows to the pool. We liked Aquamarine but because we are the members of Privilege Club and have much more freedom to visit practically any resort in the complex it is hard to estimate service at Aquamarine only. When we arrived to our room it was our lock replaced and we had access plate in our bracelet (very handy), our AC was barely working but after our complain it was sent a few guys and it was repaired right away - HUGE THANK YOU, GUYS (sorry, don't remember your names.) TV had one channel and after a few days we complained and it was fixed as well - even we did not watch it much. Bed was hard but after spending all day in the ocean, it was OK for us. We brought mosquito repellent and After bite cream. Used them in the evening. Though we saw a few times that the car was driving with anti mosquito fog distributed around resort. Also we saw one day all sun beds were cleaning with cleaning solutions. Huge respect for all you job to keep resorts clean and people healthy. Only once we were in the pool but did not like it at all - too hot. Overall: ocean was incredible, service was great, food and liquor were plentiful, we were lucky with the weather. Room was clean. Most of restaurants that we visited were wonderful. What else? Entertainment was Ok but we came mostly for the ocean and it exceeded our expectations. Beautiful resort with wonderful service. With great people who make our vacation remarkable and unforgettable. Thank you, Bahia Principe, - we will be back!

Inedible food and dreadful service.

davidgD7339JY (New York) on May 31, 2024

My visit to El Olivo Restaurant at Bahia Principe Hotel left much to be desired. The food was inedible, and the service was dreadful. Overall, my experience at the Bahia Principe all-inclusive resort was the worst I've had, and I have no intention of returning.

Not So Grand Aquamarine

Harajukukawaii22 (Raleigh, North Carolina) on May 31, 2024

My family stayed here from May 18-May 22nd (We originally had reservations to stay here till May 25th). I am going to start off with the positives. The restaurants were actually higher quality than a lot of all-inclusive resorts and each restaurant even had their own signature cocktail (The best specialty cocktail drink I had was at the Indian restaurant). The grill at the pool was very good! The resort's landscape is very beautiful with tons of really cool statues that remind you of Greece. The beach was also nice. Here comes the negatives. First off, this resort is HUGE so in order to go to every restaurant and other activities that is not near your room you would have to wait and take a shuttle. The buildings where the rooms are located in do not have elevators. So, if you have a lot a luggage you will have to walk upstairs to put them in your room if you are not on the first floor. You have to make reservations to each restaurant except buffets and you have to do it before even going to the resort (up to 10 days in advanced) which is very annoying. Most of the entertainment was boring and I feel like the animation team was not very well prepared compared to other resorts I have stayed at. It felt like every night was the circus show. The pool was very hot, and it would take a very long time to get drinks at the pool bar. Our rooms we had were decent just needs to be updated. The tv only had 4 channels. They didn't restock our drinks in the room a lot either. Most of the staff here were not very friendly towards us. Also, while we were there, I kept waking up to more and more bug bites and the bites are still bothering me. I probably have over 50 bug bites on my body. The night club was ok but not very impressive. We ended up switching to another resort because it was so boring, and the vibes weren't vibing. Overall, I think this resort needs major updates and I would never stay here again.

Clean, Beautiful, Great Service

Ute M (Toronto, Canada) on May 27, 2024

We stayed at the Bahia chain of hotels as we did not want to be disappointed, like we were four months earlier, one of the other chains. We had been at the Bahia chain few years ago and loved it. We spent 10 days at an amazing resort where the staff worked hard around the clock to make our vacation one of the best we have ever had. The Food was amazing, so much variety to suit everyone's tastes, Fish, Seafood, Meat, Salads, Fruit and Freshly pressed Fruit juice every morning, cheese trays, chocolate fountain to dip your strawberries in, etc. etc. The drinks were top notch, the wine was plentiful and also top notch, from either Spain or France. Plenty of snacks and coffee available anytime of the day for us to help ourselves. The beach was gorgeous, miles of walking if you wanted exercise. Bahia worked very hard to keep our beach clean from the seaweed, removing it morning and evening. As we walked along the beach stretch a lot of the other hotels were not as vigilant as our hotel, again thankyou for all your hard work. The ocean colors were amazing, blue, blue, blue against the white sand. Plenty of beach chairs available and plenty of drinks, thankyou to Juan the happy bartender that danced around bringing us our drinks anytime we needed one. The Pools were kept very clean with plenty of activities available if you wanted. The gym at the Amber hotel, which we were allowed to use, was divine. It was clean, cool, lots of machines, even provided ice water, fruit and towels if needed. Our hotel was situated behind the Bahia Adult Luxury Ambar, which was right at the beach but the distance didn't matter much to us as they had Trollies to bring and p/u during the day. There were times when these trollies were full, we just walked and enjoyed the beautiful grounds and small mangrove pond where we seen lots of wildlife. We will definitely be back next year and this time we are bringing our extended families, it was well worth the money we spent.

Wonderful Week

Camper307326 on May 25, 2024

Good Lobby Service. When arrived there was a long line but surprisingly we got through it quite quickly. We were served by Marco and he made sure that everything was explained clearly and understood him well. He took care of us for the week. When we requested something from the front Lobby both Lobbies they were very accommodating. Loved the Adult Only Resorts. Shows were good. The grounds around the pool could be cleaner. The buffet the food always cold. Ice cream was always melted. The staff were not as friendly. Rooms are good. I found that they speak mostly Spanish not enough English speaking employees. Hard to understand sometime. Long time to wait for your drinks at any of the bars. Overall lovely weather and a good week with family. Truly would recommend and I would return myself.
