We had a great time at Ocean el faro! We loved everything about it from the food entertainment and rooms. The staff was amazing! Especially Erick he made the entertainment so enjoyable and we hope to come back soon! Would definitely recommend!

Great resort and staff. The restaurants, stay, and facilities are top tier. Very friendly staff all around the complex. It has been a pleasure staying here. The pool and room are also very top tier. Food is tasty and drinks are good. Erick is the man!

Save Your Money Find Another Resort

Currently writing this review while waiting for my flight to depart Punta Cana. Visited Ocean El Faro last year, liked it so much I decided to book the junior swim up suite for this year. Hugely disappointed this time around, was left with a bad taste in my mouth after my 4 night 5 day vacation stay. I would like to consider myself a season traveler and this by far was my worst stay at a resort as of to date. First day of us checking into our room, we soon discovered we had no remote control. Called down to the front desk and was told someone would bring it up. After an hour or two called again and was told the same thing. When another hour had passed called guest services this time explained there was no tv remote upon our arrival. Was placed on hold then promised someone would be there shortly. In the meantime made an order for room service at 6pm the food arrived at 9pm cold and incomplete they forgot my husband’s order. It took another hour for him to receive his food, meantime while waiting for the food. Called both the front desk and guest services 3 more times for a tv remote. Finally gave up and went to bed after 11pm with our tv on because we had no remote to shut it off. The next morning when we awoke. The tv was turnt off and the remote was left on the tv dresser. A hotel staff member had entered our room sometime during the night/early morning while we were sleep without our authorization. On our 2nd day wanted to enjoy the swim up pool outside our terrace door. Discovered the sliding door was extremely difficult to open and close both of us having to utilize our full body weight anytime anyone of us wanted to exit or entered the pool patio. Also the door handle on the outside of the door was partially attached and hanging off because it was missing a screw. On our 4th night spotted large roaches in the room. Immediately called down to the front desk they advised they would send housekeeping to come spray and clean the room. Waited no one showed up. I then got dressed and walked down to the main lobby. Asked to speak with a manager was directed to go to guest services. Guest services had me send video and pictures of the roaches to their WhatsApp account, but was told no manager on duty until 10am the next day the same time we were suppose to be checking out. While I was at the main lobby my husband was able to kill one. Housekeeping eventually came to the room after my return, they did not spray nor clean just simple flushed one of the roaches my husband killed down the toilet. Also be advised if you do not upgrade to privilege when you check in or not a premium guest. A large portion of the resorts amenities that are readily available at most resorts, will not be available to you. Something as simple as a spoon was placed on the dining tables in the privilege section, as oppose to the guest with no privilege or premium accounts. Guests without those accounts had to ask for a spoon when dining. The basic things you would normally receive while on vacation at an all inclusive resort we had to ask for.

Ocean El Faro's Credit Note remains unpaid.

We bought the Privilege Service at this hotel for USD 1559.00 because of my husband's disability. We received no service as promised under this program and received a credit note for the remaining vacation days of USD 840.00 to be refunded immediately to our original payment method. The credit note was issued by the front desk manager Carlos. Until now, we have not received the refund. We are unable to reach anyone at the hotel including the General Manager correct his letter that confused us with other clients. So, we are still waiting for our money promised with a credit note by the hotel. Terrible.

Amazing Hotel.

Extraordinary hotel. Has it all. For adults only, for children, for people with some limitations. The food is very good. The general treatment of the staff is fabulous. I would return to continue having another incredible vacation. Thank you Ocean El Faro.
