13th visit to our home away from home
cindynruss (Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania) on Dec 07, 2024
We came "home" for 9 days from November 8 through 16. The weather could have been better but a rainy day there is still better a day at home. Most of our "family" is still here and the new family members we met are awesome. The check in was a breeze. Angelica got us checked in in no time. We were traveling with my mother in law (92). I asked for an upgrade so mom didn't have to walk too far for morning breakfast which she was able to give us (it was our 13th time here also, at this resort). We were also to get the same room we've had the past few visits, close to everything but a little noisy at night being close to Kicks sports bar. Everyone here is so friendly and gracious. We have made many friends over the years with the people of the resort ( I will name by name later) and with other guests. In particular the group we met last year from HWS in the New Paltz New York area and the guys from Raleigh NC, who were arriving the day we were leaving. Even though we had rain most of the days, we did have a great time. The beach was beautiful as always. We had dinner at Mascalzone a few nights and our server Yenseen was great our first visit and our dear friend Yuleni served us the other times we went. Milton at Mascalzone was the best, making sure we were having a good meal and the service was acceptable ( it was excelente). Mom's eggplant was so good, she asked to complement the chef and he graciously came out. The lunchbox buffet wasn't open for dinner most nights so we has to eat at Malva, the smaller buffet. Being as my wife and I are vegetarian it was a little restricted what we could eat as the Lunchbox has a larger variety to choose from. We didn't starve. We spend most of our time at the pool bar with our dear friends who treat us like family and they are our family. We did treat ourselves to some spa time with the best masseuse of all. Mom had Gladys, my wife had Ironelis and I had Evangelista Gil. We are looking forward to our next visit next year. I want to thank everyone by name... Luis Diaz, Quintino, Jonathan, Victor, Jesus, Teo, Edy, Marileisy, Rosanna at the pool bar Wanda at the Wanda bar Gilberto and Martin at the 96 degrees bar on the beach Gladys, Ironelis, and Evengelista Gil at YHI Spa Yuleni, Milton, and Yenseen at Mascalzone Julie who brought us coffee every morning at 6.55, 5 mins before expected 7am time Antonio and staff of the Ginger bar in the lobby. We missed our breakfast server at lunchbox, Maria Ortiz who is on leave ?? Mayor Pilier who made check out a breeze. Also a shout out to Amstar for transportation to and from the airport for 12 visits without a hiccup at all. Looking forward to our next visit in the spring of '25.

Beautiful resort, very clean. Friendly staff. Buffet food wasn't the greatest however the restaurants were great. Night entertainment was great and really enjoyed the Ginger to hang out at. Had a lovely holiday with my family. Highly recommend!!!
An excellent experience

Our first time to an all inclusive resort has been a wonderful experience. Being in the reserve and having an attentive and friendly concierge was a great pleasure. The entire staff is welcoming and amiable. The grounds are outstanding and the rooms are clean.
PUNTA CANA as it's BEST!

What can I say? This hotel is simply AMAZING! I had the priviledge to stay at The Reserve room, and for that, we had a personal concierge. His name is Wolfan and it's THE best you can get! I mean, whatever we needed, and I mean everything, we just sent him a message and he would do all he could to make it happen. THAT is what I call customer service. Thank you, Wolfan! About the hotel itself, it was a great experience as well. A lot of pools available, the beach is breathtaking and as it is an all inclusive, you have a huge variaty of bars to have a drink, or a few of them. The housekeeping service is great! They make it look like we were never there??. Spotless!???????? The Santé restaurant, has the best hostess ever! I mean, she would recognize us from heart, since day 2! She would take care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you, Barneliz, you rock! At the main pool bar, Jorge always had a smile to serve us, even when I just wanted my Coca Cola with grenadine??. Thank you! At the Kicks sports bar, José, what an amazing guy. Gave us some background on the countries history and he knew all about it. Thank you! Worth mentioning they have some gigs everynight. Local music, rock, pop, everything pretty much. The space is open air and is a very likeable envirorment! I totally reccomend this hotel if you are looking to relax and enjoy what it has! CONGRATS EVERYONE!!????????
Large hotel with lots of offer,

We stayed for a few days in an adults only junior suite. The rooms were lovely, very well equipped, lovely shower, and well stocked mini fridge. Although I’d booked a garden view room we were given a pool view which was very nice. The hotel is quite large and part of a complex of hotels on one site. Within this hotel there were several large pools, all very cold and all very deep. There was always good access to the pools (steps with a rail not a ladder) and good quality sunbeds. The main pool really needed a good clean and tile repairs. We only used the buffet and room service, not the al la carte restaurants (we did not try to book them). The food was ok but not as good as other hotels, typically cold and a bit bland. Although large and a lot of walking/steps, the grounds of the hotel and the beach was beautiful. The staff were all excellent, from bell boy to reception, servers in the bars and buffet, and entertainment team. The rock band entertainment was absolutely fabulous. Some of the staff worth mentioning were Yesmeilin, Johana, Jairo, Hairon, Martha, Alexandra, Ynes and Sugeidy.
