Excellent hotel, five great resturants , very good quality of food and amazingly fresh and great variety and choices. Kudo's to Mr Roberto in all day restuarant for 10/10 service. clean rooms, nice partial ocean view suites, clean linen , very clean beach ,excellent security. we used the small beach and great pool with swim up bar and resturant to boot. Small hotel with 200 rooms with exceptional service and quality. Great hotel chain and recomment the presidential suite. The Sweet and Coffee bar was spectacular.

My sister, son and niece spent 10 nights August 17-27th and had the best time. We actually came with lower expectations due to some of the poor reviews but were blown away! Resort is beautiful and overall everyone really tried their best to be accommodating. I’ve been to the Grand, Beach palace, Sun Palace and I have to say that Playacar is one of my favorites. My son and I were bumped off original flight and would arrive hours later. I called Palace transfers and they were able to book me for a later transfer as well as change reservation to my sister’s name who would be arriving earlier. They were so accommodating and thorough even though it was a little last minute. We had some hiccups initially: my sister tipped $2 Santos for loading 2 suitcases with the transfer shuttles and he exclaimed “how cheap” . Also Ruben at front desk never provided rollaway bed and put us in loudest ground floor room by pool after specifically requesting a quiet room. Rooms are overall soundproof and we still enjoyed. Someone else at front desk sent a rollaway bed hours later. We also napped with a white noise app. When I filled out the quality survey emailed from resort 2nd or 3rd day (couldn’t figure out tv volume - have to toggle up) and Bluetooth with speaker, someone came immediately to fix as well as to restock water and snacks. We even had a phone call from public relations with sincere apologies as well as a contact should there be anymore issues. This is all pretty normal stuff it was really was great to have things addressed and resolved so fast. Beach was beautiful and water was as clear as glass some days. Food is awesome at the resorts. I’m a foodie and have gone to other all-inclusives and definitely the food at the Palace resorts rival great restaurants in NYC - blows other resorts away in quality, flavor and presentation. Juice station is at the buffet in mornings and there was a different rotating selection every day at the buffet where we went for breakfast and lunch. All the other restaurants are excellent. Trattoria was my favorite but madre mia and Momo are also very good (sushi at momo is delicious). Cocktails were best at lobby bar. The lobby is beautiful but does need air conditioning. I think we went in lower season as kids ordered pizza and dessert with room service and it came within 20 minutes! I’m an elite member already and they asked for a 2 hour presentation in exchange to use all resort credits towards spa - which I attended. I had to decline upgrading as I had upgraded less than a year ago and just bought a coop. They were understanding and kind with my no…. I was happy with the spa! Rooms are spacious and clean with comfortable beds. Kids club, everyone remembered my niece’s name and although she didn’t go that often, she had a wonderful experience each time. My son, 14, really loved the water volleyball and whole family loved water aerobics and water Zumba. They need more water ballon volleyball fights - that was a blast. Entertainment staff had such positive energy and made everyone feel good. Also a plus at all their resorts is live music. It really adds to the joyful ambience. We had a violinist and saxophonist by the pool on different days, a harpist at lunch buffet and a pianist at Trattoria. I can’t wait to go back.

After arriving last week for my vacation, I must say I was beyond disappointed. The place seems run-down, in need of desperate maintenance, and the one meal we got to eat was horrible. It is definitely subpar, and does not give any Palace resort vibes. We didn’t need to stay any longer and decided to switch the same day of arrival to the Moon Palace, and I’m so glad we did. I would not call Playacar a luxury resort, it was leaning more towards an average boutique hotel. We’ve visited almost every Palace resort in Cancun and have always left wanting to come back, but I will not be visiting Playacar again! Just my opinion based on my preference and the great quality experience that the other Palace resorts provide. I should’ve read more reviews and I would’ve taken those into consideration when booking Playacar!

It was GREAT!!! We went in June and it rained everyday (very unusual). However- Edar (my best friend there) took amazing care of us. We did a cave tour that was so FUN!!! Meals were great. Kevin took care of us at the Italian restaurant with ITALIAN CHEESE WHEEL!! DELICIOUS!!! Everyone was so kind and attentive. Clean resort. Will go back!!!

Fantastic family holiday service is excellent in particular cafe Del Mar staff Roberto and Manuela very attentive and super super impressed by their attention to detail friendly smiling helpful all the time to cater for the kids Silvia at the pool was very attentive to all our needs Thankyou all at playacar for making this a memorable experience food was excellent clean atmosphere drinks choice wide variety and Roberto in the cafe Del Mar even taught us about the different spices he was always so attentive in making the kids the best morning healthiest fruit smoothies highly recommend
