Disappointing Experience Due to Rude Staff

I recently stayed at Mission Pacific and unfortunately, my experience was marred by the behavior of the staff display of racism. While the facilities and location of the hotel were satisfactory, the interactions I had with certain staff members left much to be desired. The behavior of the staff tarnished my entire experience. Upon check-in, I was met with indifference and rudeness from the front desk staff while being serviced. It was evident that some staff members harbored discriminatory attitudes. They seemed quite dismissive when I had questions regarding my room and even was snarky when requesting to accommodate for a special occasion. This lack of professionalism continued throughout my stay, with encounters ranging from curt responses to outright rudeness. This behavior made me feel unwelcome in what should have been a hospitable environment. Additionally, I observed similar behavior from other staff other than the front desk, which further detracted from the overall atmosphere of hospitality that one expects from a hotel of this caliber. Despite the pleasant accommodations, the demeanor of the staff significantly impacted my impression of the hotel. Hospitality is not solely about physical comfort but also about the quality of service and interactions with guests. Unfortunately, in this aspect, Mission Pacific fell short. It’s disheartening and deeply troubling to encounter such blatant racism, especially in an industry that prides itself on providing hospitality to people from all walks of life. These experiences not only sour one's perception of the hotel but also leave lasting emotional scars. I hope that management takes steps to address the issue of staff behavior to ensure that future guests do not have to endure similar experiences. It's crucial for Mission Pacific to address this issue immediately and implement comprehensive training programs to educate staff on diversity, inclusion, and appropriate professional conduct. Racism has no place in any establishment, and it's imperative that steps are taken to ensure that all guests are treated with dignity and respect. I urge potential guests to consider this aspect of our experience before choosing to stay at Mission Pacific. Until meaningful changes are made to address the culture of discrimination among the staff, I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel.

Mission Pacific Oceanside CA

Tagged along with husband’s business trip. Booked this Hyatt property because it was on beach. Allowed us to check in early. Resort was even more beautiful than website pictures. Loved the rooftop and vibe! Views were spectacular! Got some awesome sunset pics! Food was excellent! Nice also have excess to Seabird resort across street. Definitely will return!

Beautiful area, the hotel was clean and well kept, the staff were friendly and the service great! Go eat at the High / Low for breakfast you won’t be dissatisfied. Great food and service.

Beautiful hotel with spectacular view of the ocean

The hotel is beautiful and you can’t beat its proximity to the ocean. The area it’s in is pretty cool with lots of bars and places to eat. The pool area in the hotel is very VERY NICE! Don’t miss the sunset view from the hotel pool. Drinks at pool bar weren’t too crazy expensive but they’re not too cheap either. Rooms are beautiful and beds comfy. Seeing the Top Gun house right out in front of hotel was very cool. Loved our stay here and was very happy that my room was exactly as it looked on the website when I booked it. They have robes and sandals left for you to use while there and even provide you with tote bag for use during your stay. Pretty thoughtful I felt. Also the hotel will setup beach chairs and umbrellas for you at the beach if you’d like to relax by the ocean. The valet is very efficient as all you need to do is text them and they will notify you via text reply when your car is out front. It was a lovely stay at a lovely hotel!

Nadia was Fantastic!

I enjoyed a couple of drinks in The Rooftop Bar and forgot my credit card when I left. I came back a few hours later after the 11pm closing time and was escorted to the front desk. Nadia was at the desk and was very helpful in helping to get my card back to me. She called the restaurant and they called security and my card was back to me within minutes. Nadia is certainly a credit to this hotel!! I will stay at the hotel and continue going to the rooftop bar because of the fine service I received from Nadia!!
