We stayed in a standard room, hotel is quite busy for April travel. Busier than we expected. We were ground level, which put us close to everything. Can be quite nosy in the evening but quiets down around 10pm depending on what show is happening. Got use to it, but was expecting a less busy resort. Buffet food options were amazing, not all a la cart restaurants were opened. only 3 were running. Staff very friendly. Room was not newly renovated but did not smell musty. no bugs! Beach was close enough but disappointed that the beach is not cleaned daily. We had rough waters the last 3 days -April 24, 25 and waves were at a "yellow flag" seaweed not cleaned which was very disappointing as this is the main reason we go to Cuba for the beach. They can do better. Internal cleaniness of hotel is good.

Excellent resort, great service, friendly and helpful staff. We didn’t experience any difficulty with food shortages and the food was plentiful and tasty. There were salad stations, cold pasta or rice salads, oven baked pizza, pasta bar, fish station, meat station (chicken, steak & pork), desserts/ice cream, and then all your side dishes. The house white and red wines were pretty good and or course the cerveza’s were great. The beach was amazing (not rocky at all) with plenty of loungers and Tiki Huts. The pool area was nice and the entertainment crew kept everyone having a great time whether you participated or were just watching. There’s also a basketball/volleyball court as well as a table tennis to play. Although we brought our own towels with us I can confirm there was never a lack of towels at the towel exchange. The piano bar had really great entertainment and there’s a disco downstairs that opens at 11:00 pm (noise was never an issue). We stuck our heads in the first night and it looked like it would be a great place to enjoy a late night drink and dance. I would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back.

Great hotel,staff and amenities. Lack of Vodka is my only complaint. Staff could not do any more to assist and they are all professional and friendly

We have just returned from a 10 day vacation at Sol Palmeras and can't say enough good things about our stay! ?? The hotel is, at the moment, going through some renovations but it didn't disturb us at all. Thanks to Dayana Martin,in customer service, we had a totally renovated room on the second floor. It was quiet, comfortable, clean (thank you, Tamara) had a huge patio with a covered lounge and had an ocean view. The lobby is very inviting when you first step into Sol Palmeras and staff work quickly to get everyone checked in. The lobby bar is full of action in the evening with very talented entertainment. We love the lobby bar evening staff especially Raime Lopez Domingues, Ernesto, Jorge and Beatriz. They made sure that we were well looked after again, like family. The food was very good and varied. We usually ate breakfast and lunch at the buffet which can be quite noisy depending on when you arrive. But our server, and now friend, Sandra Cartaya, made sure that the tables and area was always kept clean. All this with a wonderful smile too! We had some of our dinners at the a la cart restaurants, the Chinese and Italian being our favourites. We also had a romantic dinner on the beach one evening. Lovely, live music while we enjoyed a spectacular meal. The grounds were very well kept up with groundskeepers always on the look for things needing trimming. The pool was nice and clean and there were always enough loungers to relax on. We walked on the soft, sandy beach, swam in the ocean and caught a beautiful sunset. There is so much more to gush about but as you surmise, we loved it. This is a fantastic, family resort and we hope you'll give it a try. We'll be back! ??????

My opinion on the Sol Palmeras April 6-13 2024 Where to start with the Sol Palmeras ….I was so pleased with the service I received from Dayana Martin and the staff at the Sol Palmeras. They went above and beyond to help me have one of the best vacations in Cuba. This was my second visit to the Sol Palmeras but my 7th visit to Cuba. The Maintenance: Impeccable cleanliness and the rooms were spotless, the resort had beautiful decor and it was up to date. The resort was well-maintained. The hotel's cleanliness surpassed my expectations. Yes there was toilet paper. The only time there wasn’t was in town or at the airport. The comfortable accommodations included the beds that were exceptionally comfortable and new. The food: I was very impressed with the food, at breakfast there was fresh omelets, french toast, pancakes, meats and cheeses, pastries fresh fruit and vegetables. There was this amazing tasting afternoon BBQ that had a verity of meats, fish vegetables and salad. Dinner always had steak, chicken, fish, fries, pizza, pasta,bread butter, and cold meats along with plenty of vegetables and much more. Let’s not forget the ice cream that hits the spot under the warm sun!! The drinks were delicious including the mojitos from the mojito bar. You can choose an ala carte dinner (included)or a lobster dinner on the beach(for a fee) that was absolutely delicious and flavorful. The beach… one of the most stunning, white sandy beaches you will see. You can walk along the soft sandy beach and enjoy the warm sun. Absolutely breathtaking! The entertainment: there was an entertainment crew on the beach in the morning playing games, yoga and volleyball while there was music at the pool. Late morning into the afternoon there was entertainment at the pool with games and water aerobics. In the evening they had live music and a show by the pool. They had a beach party on the beach with a small bar set up that was fantastic! so there it is a fabulous hotel with amazing staff that are waiting for your visit.
