Good location and staff, but several preventable issues impacted our stay

The Hyatt Regency Toronto is well located, the hotel itself was clean, and many staff members were courteous and professional. Unfortunately, several preventable issues significantly impacted our stay and did not meet expectations for a Hyatt property. We were in Toronto for an important conference hosted at the hotel and for a time-sensitive family event. Transportation arranged through the concierge did not match what was booked. We paid for a 14-passenger Sprinter, yet a smaller, unclean vehicle arrived both ways, resulting in unsafe and uncomfortable seating conditions. We were also advised during booking that the hotel had a pool, which influenced our decision to stay here. Upon arrival, we learned the pool was closed for the season, which was very disappointing for our children and could have been avoided with clearer disclosure. Additionally, our room experienced plumbing issues that were reported but not addressed in a timely manner, leading to an overflow. There were also concerns with room door functionality and security, as well as extremely tight underground parking with no warning for larger vehicles. Overall, while the property has many positives, better communication, vendor oversight, maintenance response, and guest guidance are needed to meet Hyatt standards. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves the guest experience going forward.
CLEAN MODERN HOTEL. A+ LOCATION

As a loyal Hyatt member Pros; Fantastic Location, ( easy access to theatre ) Modern clean Lobby, Spotless clean remodelled room ( thank you housekeeping ) , Friendly helpful Staff, Starbucks on location A+ Cons; Hyatt wanted to charge me $40 for the exact same parking spot that was on my app for $ 18 , Intended on dining at the Hyatt Restaurant, AAA striploin $42. / however the restaurant was closed. Last minute shuffle we ate pizza. Loyality is hard to build. Basically only bad part or our weekend in Toronto was eating pizza when we ready for steak.
