Great place to stay, the location and accommodations are excellent. We had an ocean view room, it was very nice and roomy.

Our favorite hotel hands down! Consistently amazing from check-in to check-out. Always beautiful, always clean, always exactly what we need. Can’t recommend this place enough. Love it here.

Great Huntington Beach Resort

787toddi on Jan 07, 2026

Huge hotel with lovely spa and three pool areas. A bridge takes you across the road for easy access to the beach, and the hotel offers many beach going amenities like chairs, blankets, etc. The resturants are great onsite, but there are several others in walking distance. Noise from the road can be loud at times, but otherwise a great spot hotel with easy access to Huntington Beach.

Lovely Stay despite the rain!

Brooke R (Roseville, United States) on Jan 06, 2026

Super awesome experience at the HR HB for New Year's! Highlights: ~Breakfast! As Globalist we enjoyed complimentary breakfast each morning and there were so many amazing items we wanted to try that we will have to come back, but that SoCa breakfast was really good (as was the Quiche & Hash I ordered!) And my son loved the S'mores French Toast from the kids' menu. ~Lots of places to sit at the resort and hang out! It was a rainy trip so we came prepared with family card games. Loved being able to find a place outside the room to hang out to play. ~As Globalist we often enjoy late check out, but that is not guaranteed at resort properties such as HR HB. When I inquired about the availability I was told it wasn't possible due to our suite type being sold out for our check-out night. But instead of just being told no, I was offered to switch to a different/standard room at checkout time which I was happy to accept. ~We did have a break in the weather for a bit so having chairs/umbrellas/towels available to take to the beach was a huge plus! Plus the chairs have straps to wear as a backpack to make transporting them from the lobby much easier (I believe during summer months these are available on the beach side) ~It was raining during our stay and the hotel set out umbrellas in several locations for guest use. The smore's kits are $12/kit, but it is enough for a family of 4 to enjoy (4 graham crackers, 2 full Hershey's bars, 9 medium marshmallows) and lots of fire pits available to roast those marshmallows. ~One weird thing was the bathroom situation - we booked into the SoCal suite which has 2 bathrooms, but the master bathroom doesn't have a shower, just a jetted tub. Since we don't take baths we still had to share the single bathroom for showers (which negated the reason we booked into that specific room type). But this wouldn't keep me from booking at this property again! ~Beach gear: there were no boogey boards available to use (I was able to rent one from a shack on the beach though). But that night after everyone had returned there were 2 boogey boards - not sure if they are supposed to be available or if someone bought and left theirs's behind with the concierge desk? ~Hydration stations weren't quite as plentiful as I would like to see. Was surprised we didn't see them in the area with the ice machines. We ended up having to go into the adult spa area to refill our bottles. And one of those spas appeared to be malfunctioning (couldn't get the jets to start). ~We didn't eat at the Watertable for dinner but did return for dinner one night, and it was a little too fancy for our family's tastes (interesting dessert offerings for sure!) We also ate at Pete's and it was like Christmas threw up in that restaurant - in a good way, the Christmas decorations were fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed the theming. We all felt the food was "standard" - nothing special. Pot Pie was salty and the cauliflower pasta was somewhat flavorless. Overall we had a lovely stay and will absolutely consider returning for another beach stay where we can hopefully enjoy more of the resort amenities offered.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt in Huntington Beach. The staff was amazing, super friendly and helpful the whole time. The beach is beautiful and just steps away, perfect for relaxing and taking in the ocean views. Great vibe, great service, and an all-around awesome place to stay. Would definitely come back!
