Beautiful Property, Disappointing Service and Management
Suzanne C (White Rock, Canada) on Mar 27, 2026
The grounds and hotel itself are absolutely lovely and expansive, but unfortunately, the service was a series of frustrations. We dealt with a neighbor smoking below us throughout the entire stay; despite calling the front desk every time, they did nothing to stop it or offer us (or them) a new room. To make matters worse, our room wasn't cleaned because of "safety" excuses regarding a rollaway bed. Great views, but not worth the headache.
Beautiful hotel!

Beautiful hotel!! Very friendly staff. Everything was very clean, the room was spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. The gym was really nice!! I really appreciate a good gym while traveling.
Great Family Stay with a Few Downsides

We recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa and had a very enjoyable experience overall, earning it a solid 4 out of 5 stars. From the moment we arrived, the customer service stood out. The staff was consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. A special shoutout to the housekeeping team—they were incredibly kind and did an excellent job keeping our room clean and comfortable each day. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful and very family-friendly. There are plenty of activities and amenities to keep everyone entertained, making it a great choice for families traveling with kids. The overall atmosphere felt relaxing while still offering lots to do. There were a couple of drawbacks, though. Parking is quite expensive and somewhat inconvenient. Valet parking is $30 for the day or $60 overnight, and while there is a self-parking option, it requires parking across the street and walking over a bridge to the resort, which can be challenging when traveling with little ones. Additionally, we were under the impression that breakfast would be included based on the online listing, but that was not the case. While there are several on-site dining options, breakfast is not complimentary, which was a bit disappointing and something to be aware of when booking. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider returning. With a few improvements to parking convenience and clearer communication about amenities like breakfast, this would easily be a 5-star experience.
Absolute BEST resort in all of OC!

When I arrived at the Hyatt, due to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to get into my home. I was scared, lost, and afraid. The two team members who helped me made me feel safe and comfortable and assured me that I would have a place to stay that night, even though it was a weekend night and very busy at the hotel. Not only that, they provided me with toiletries to feel more comfortable as I had no suitcase and none of my belongings with me. I was given an excellent rate, and my room was absolutely phenomenal with a beautiful view of the courtyard and the stunning string lights! Joseph and Niko are two of your finest and they definitely deserve a raise! I will absolutely always recommend the Hyatt to my friends and family who come to stay in Southern California and I myself will be back to enjoy the Pacific Waters spa here real soon! Thank you for never disappointing Hyatt Regency! :)
Family Beach Vacation

Great family experience! Pool had a fun atmosphere and very close to expansive beach. The resort has numerous options for meals and is within walking distance to local restaurants and shops. Appreciated the run path along the beach along with the weight room in the fitness center.
